All kids who live in or attend a child care program in Andover are eligible to participate in this wonderful program. Stop by either library for more details. 📚

The final day to accept book donations has arrived! We will accept new and used books in good condition at the William A Bachelder Library until 7 pm tonight, June 2nd. After tonight, please hold all book donations until July 14th.

The one exception to this is children’s books! If you have children’s picture books, chapter books, or nonfiction titles, we will accept these through June 16th. If you have previously spoken to me about book donations, you are also welcome to bring those items by.

We’re searching for our next library assistant!

The Andover Library is looking for a library assistant to work 8-15 hours per week.
The ideal candidate is creative, kind, and warm, with the ability to connect with people of all ages.
The library assistant shelves books, fulfills interlibrary loan requests, and completes other tasks associated with maintaining the library collection, under the guidance of the library director.
Must be comfortable with computers, using Google products, and Canva.
Being well-read across a variety of genres is helpful as well.
The assistant would need to be available most Wednesdays 9-12 and 2-4, as well as Fridays 9-1 during the school year. Summer hours are more flexible. Candidates who can work some evening and weekend hours preferred.
Pay rate: $15-$18 per hour based on experience and skills.
Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Memorial Day weekend has passed, which means it’s time for us to start refilling our Little Free Library at Chafee Beach on Highland Lake.📚 I try to visit it weekly with new books, so be sure to check it out this summer ☀️

Thank you to all the wonderful Andover Elementary Middle School students who started the native plant garden at the Andover Public Library yesterday. As part of their SHARE day activities, they added the first plants. 🪴
