We’re excited to announce Andrea Johnston as our new theatre director. Welcome to New Covenant, Mrs. Johnston!

Mrs. Johnston is a graduate of Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Development with an emphasis in Theology. She and her husband, Kirk, have been married for 19 years and own a K–12 school fundraising business together. They are the proud parents of two New Covenant seniors, Olivia and Isaiah, and fourth grader, Stephen.

A lifelong theatre kid, Mrs. Johnston grew up performing onstage. Her favorite role as a high school student was Mrs. Beaver in The Chronicles of Narnia at South Carolina Children’s Theatre. In recent years, she has directed several productions throughout the community and has continued to cultivate a deep appreciation for theatre and the arts. She especially loves the way theatre allows us to tell beautiful stories that reflect God’s truth, beauty, and redeeming work in creation.

Mrs. Johnston is already hard at work preparing for this new role and cannot wait to partner with New Covenant students to create an excellent, memorable production that brings glory to the Lord!
