🚀 Cross-Curricular Magic in Mrs. Dobson’s room ! 🔬📚

Who says annotation is just for English class? This week, our young scientists put on their critical thinking caps and brought our school-wide annotation strategies directly into the lab! 🧬✨

By using the exact same reading tools across both ELA and Science, our students are building stronger reading comprehension, making deeper connections, and proving that great literacy skills belong in every subject! 💡

The first couple of weeks are flying by, and campus is buzzing! Here’s a quick peek at what we've been up to:

Monday Morning Meetings: Gathering every Monday in the cafeteria to start our week together as one school family!

Learning in Action: 6th graders hard at work—crafting creative writing for their Imagery Poem Project in ELA and tackling long division in Math! ✏️📐

SCReady Celebrations: So proud of our whole community! We celebrated our schoolwide academic growth and achievement on the SCReady, including our scholars who earned perfect scores! 🏆

Thank you to our amazing families and staff for making this start unforgettable! 🌟

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of having our staff back under one roof. Today, Mr. Laches brought us together to ground us in our shared vision and kick off the year ahead.

The foundation is built, the vision is clear, and now the work continues. We are filling the hallways with purpose, positivity, and prep work to keep moving forward for our amazing students!
