Grateful for Jack Voigt and the calling God shaped through his time in the College of Christian Studies.

“As of August, I am serving as the pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Covington, VA. My time at AU gave me four years of robust theological and spiritual formation, both of which inform the other. The faculty of the CCS gave me the tools to handle the Word of God for the people of God, as well as other ministry competencies to care for people. I often tell people that, although I loved my time at AU while I was there, I didn't realize just how great the faculty was until I continued my theological education elsewhere (which I am also thankful for). I'd take the College of Christian Studies faculty at AU over any other institution any day when it comes to ministry formation and preparation.”

We are thankful for alumni who continue to serve faithfully, carrying the heart of CCS into churches and communities across the country — and we’re excited to have Jack teaching some of our Introduction to the Bible classes at AU.

Grateful for Rebekah Timmerman and the calling God shaped through her time in the College of Christian Studies.

“I'm currently serving as the Girl’s Ministry Director at Gateway Baptist in Irmo, SC. It is truly the joy of my life and CCS played a huge role in getting me where I am today. I felt called to student ministry after my freshman year at AU and immediately changed my major. The CCS professors were so encouraging and always available to help or lend an ear. I still think fondly of my time at AU and use resources given from CCS in my ministry.”

We are thankful for alumni faithfully serving and leading in their local churches, using what they learned to further the Kingdom.

Meet Kennedy Hendrix, a student in the College of Christian Studies.

"The College of Christian Studies at Anderson University has taught me ministerial leadership, biblical literacy, compassion for God’s people, and so much more. I am thankful for the way it has shaped me and how intentional the program is to prioritize, my spiritual and academic growth. As I prepare to step into a full time role at a church plant after graduation, I feel prepared and equipped with the tools I have gained from my undergrad. This includes a strong Biblical foundation, practical ministry skills, hands-on experience in discipleship, leadership, and administration. "

We’re grateful for the ways God is preparing students like Kennedy for Kingdom impact.

Meet Grant Flynn, one of our CCS alumni.

“I’m currently serving as Assistant Professor of New Testament at Phoenix Seminary in Phoenix, Arizona, a role I started this fall. My time in the CCS was invaluable—providing the academic foundation and spiritual formation that helped me thrive in seminary, complete my PhD, and begin my career as a professor.

I owe a special word of thanks to Dr. Crisler. His example in and out of the classroom inspired me to pursue teaching, and I’m grateful he’s now become a close friend.”

We’re thankful for alumni like Grant who continue to further the Kingdom through their scholarship and ministry.

Meet Hope Roberts!

Hope is currently a member of Ethnos360 and is planning to serve as part of a church planting team in the Philippines. Her orgnization focuses on church planting in geographically and linguistically isolated people groups, who do not have the Bible in their language.

"The College of Christian Studies and Clamp Divinity School both helped prepare me for this ministry. Good hermeneutics and exegesis are foundational to teaching others the gospel and equipping the indigenous church. Recognizing the importance of the original languages and the rich depths of meaning in God’s Word are a sobering reminder of the importance of faithful, yet clear translations for every people," says Hope.

We're so thankful to see how are alumni are furthering the Kingdom of God!

We’re so thankful for our professors who pour their hearts into teaching and mentoring students. They don’t just prepare the next generation for ministry—they walk alongside them, pray for them, and help them grow in their calling.

Hear from Dr. Toney Parks as he shares how the Pastoral Ministry concentration equips students to serve faithfully and lead with purpose.
