📅 Planning is already underway for the 2027-2028 school year, and we’re asking our A5 families and community to weigh in on the proposed academic calendar!

The proposed calendar was developed by representatives in districts 1-5 with several priorities in mind, including balanced instructional days, a full week at Thanksgiving, regular breaks throughout the year, and ending the school year before Memorial Day.

The T.L. Hanna High School Best Buddies Chapter was recognized by the Anderson Five Board of Trustees at the August Board meeting for being named a National Outstanding Chapter by Best Buddies International! 🏆

Our IMPACT A5 Mentor Program is looking for caring adults willing to give just one hour, twice a month to make a difference in the life of an Anderson Five student. You choose the school. You choose the age. We’ll coordinate the rest!

⭐ #1 in the State for Overall ELA Growth

According to results released by the South Carolina Department of Education, Anderson Five experienced the most growth in ELA performance across all tested grade levels (3–8) 📈.

Real proud of this one. Great rankings are always nice, but this isn't the finish line - it's a checkpoint that tells us we're tracking in the right direction and gives us even more reason to keep going!💪

A5 is on the rise! 📈 The latest state assessment results are in, and our students showed up STRONG! 👏

📚 ELA performance exceeded the state average at EVERY tested grade level (3-8)
➗ Overall Math performance across tested grades (3-8) outpaced the state
🏆 And the success continues across middle and high school assessments, too!

There’s more to these results than numbers. There are people behind the percentages: students who work hard, teachers who show up, families who foster learning at home, and a school district bound and determined to help every student grow.

We’re proud of the progress, but we know we’re not where we want to be just yet. What these results tell us is that the work is working, and we’re going to keep at it! 💪
