Learning is even more fun when we bring a story to life! 🪰📚

On Monday, Ms. Amelia, Mr. Julius, and Ms. Tori’s class read "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly." Today, they paired the story with an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) board and a hands-on activity where students helped feed the old lady the items she swallowed! What a fun way to bring literacy, communication, and hands-on learning together! ❤️📖

🍩✨ Rock Your School Day at McLees! ✨🍩

Our kindergarten Rams had a sweet time celebrating Rock Your School Day with fun, hands-on learning activities!

Rock Your School is an annual event that encourages educators to create unique, engaging learning experiences that strengthen students’ skills and bring excitement to the classroom.

Our kindergarten students got creative by making donuts out of paper plates, writing about their favorite types of donuts, and sharing ways they can sprinkle kindness among their friends! 🍩💗 They even used sprinkles to practice counting and compare quantities to determine who had more or less. What a sweet way to bring learning to life!

It was a fun-filled day of creativity, learning, math, writing, and kindness! We love seeing our little Rams learning, growing, and shining! 🌟

At McLees, we are reaching for the stars and learning without limits! 🚀⭐

🍎🍏 Apple Theme Day in the McLees Mild Learning Labs! 🍎🍏

Our Mild Learning Lab classes enjoyed a fun and engaging Apple Theme Day filled with hands-on exploration, discovery, and learning!

Students used their senses to explore apples, observe different colors, and taste a variety of apples. Activities included apple taste testing, apple investigations, Apple I Spy, and making apple pie in a cup! 🥧

Through these engaging activities, students practiced important skills such as communication, sensory exploration, making choices, comparing and describing objects, and following directions. Students were encouraged to participate at their own pace, interact with their peers, and build confidence while exploring new experiences.

It was a wonderful day filled with learning, discovery, and smiles!
