My Lincoln Block quilt is coming along nicely. The big stitch quilting with crochet thread looks good in the green and yellow squares and diamonds. Now to decide how I’m going to big stitch the white areas!

Florabundance is my third quilt to get to Dollywood for one of their annual quilt shows. This quilt was entered in 1995 and it received an Award of Merit in the Wall Quilt class. I still have the judges sheet for it, showing it received 94 out of 100 points. I also have the Dollywood show booklet with my quilt listed inside. This same quilt was not accepted for the AQS show in Paducah, so it is an excellent example of "move on to the next show" when entering quilts into competition!

I spent Sunday afternoon doing indigo dyeing with the Northstate Japanese Culture Club. From the three rubber banded t-shirts, I got three gorgeous new shirts to wear!

This is a Moon tree at Colusa High School. Yes it was wonderful to see this growing tree in person! Thank you, NASA, for giving these tree seedlings to schools for everyone to enjoy.
