**OPERATIONAL UPDATE** REGULAR HOURS OF OPERATION - THURSDAY, JANUARY 23rd - Oakwood Christian School, school offices, and Oakwood Preschool and Daycare will resume regular hours of operation for Thursday, January 23rd.

**OPERATIONAL UPDATE** SCHOOL CLOSED - WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22nd - Due to the winter weather that has moved through our area, the freezing temperatures, and potential hazardous driving conditions; out of an abundance of caution, Oakwood Christian School, school offices, and Oakwood Preschool & Daycare will be closed Wednesday, January 22nd. It is planned that all regular hours of operation resume on Thursday, January 23rd. Please stay safe and warm.

**OPERATIONAL UPDATE** SCHOOL CLOSED - FRIDAY, JANUARY 10th - Due to the expected inclement weather moving into our area and out of an abundance of caution, Oakwood Christian School, school offices, and Oakwood Preschool & Daycare will be closed Friday, January 10th. All afternoon activities and practices are also cancelled for Friday, January 10th. Please stay safe as this winter weather moves through our area.

At this time, power has been restored to all buildings on the Oakwood Christian School campus. Therefore, we are happy to report that we will be on a regular school schedule and program tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1st. If you are an OCS family still without power, your student(s) may arrive at school on a 1 hour delay (9:00 am) tomorrow, if needed. We are continuing to pray for all those still affected by the aftermath of this weekend's storm.

In light of the extreme weather that moved through our area this weekend, many in our community have been left without power, and some areas are still facing hazardous road conditions. At this time, Oakwood Christian School campus has also experienced a loss of power in its main school buildings. Therefore, there will be no school for Monday, September 30th. We will continue to monitor the situation, and send out notification regarding Tuesday's operations on Monday afternoon. We are praying for all those affected by the storm.

OCS FUN RUN FUNDRAISER!!!
Our school is raising funds for new PE and Science Lab equipment. Our goal is to raise $5,000, and, if you’d like to, we are inviting YOU to help!

Here’s how you can support our school:

• 1. Register your student on www.mybooster.com today. It’s easy and free!

• 2. Share about our fundraiser with your family and friends using the SHARE BUTTON on WWW.MYBOOSTER.COM

• 3. Give a donation if you are able!

The Fun Run Event will take place next Wednesday afternoon, March 6th, during school hours. Each group of classes will have 30 minutes to run laps to raise money for our school. The track will be set up on the soccer field and 4 laps will equal about one mile. Donations given can be a flat rate or per lap your student runs.

Every student who registers will receive a DUDE PERFECT KEYCHAIN! - Students who are sponsored will receive additional DUDE PERFECT PRIZES based on the amount of sponsorship.

Our students (K5-12th grade) enjoyed speaking to missionaries from Oakwood Baptist Church’s Missions Conference this morning. They were encouraged to pray for the needs in specific countries, as well as, be willing to consider if God would have them go and take the gospel to people around the world as a missionary.

Our Elementary and high school students were challenged by our special guest speaker, Pastor Curtis King, in their chapel services yesterday. We are thankful for the investment of local, like-minded pastors, like Pastor King, who give of their time to encourage our students in their relationship with Christ!

Our students enjoyed two “chalk talk” messages by Missionary Paul Young in Elementary and high school chapel today. The Lord is using the Young family in South Africa as they present the gospel in schools and prisons through this unique ministry.
