✨ Growing Independence, One Crayon at a Time!🖍️

Coloring isn’t just about making something beautiful, it’s also a chance for little ones to practice independence! 💕

Choosing their colors, holding their crayons, and making their own creative choices helps build confidence, fine-motor skills, and a sense of accomplishment.

Sometimes the little choices are the biggest steps toward growing! 🌈💪

🌟 Building Independence at Home! 🏠💕

Independence starts with the little things! Giving children simple choices and responsibilities throughout the day helps them build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a sense of accomplishment.

Try letting your child:
👕 Choose between two outfits
🧸 Help put toys away
🎒 Carry their own backpack
🧼 Practice washing their hands independently
🌟 Take on simple age-appropriate responsibilities

Remember, they don’t have to do it perfectly, they just need opportunities to try! 💗

Building consistent routines and giving children small responsibilities can help them become more confident and capable every day. ✨

🎉Great News—We Will Reopen Tomorrow!

Families, Park Place Children’s Center has been cleared to reopen tomorrow, Thursday, August 20, 2026, during our regular operating hours.

The sewer issue has been corrected, the necessary cleaning has been completed, and several proactive measures have also been taken to help prevent further issues. We have followed all required steps and received clearance from the appropriate agencies and professionals.

We sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience this unexpected closure has caused our families. Navigating the effects of a historic natural disaster has been completely unpredictable, but our priority has remained handling each concern as quickly, safely, and correctly as possible.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding throughout this process. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow!

🚨URGENT: Center Closed Wednesday, Aug 19

Families and Staff, Unfortunately, we will not be able to open tomorrow (Wednesday, August 19).

The plumbers came out today but were unable to clear the main sewer line. We have a commercial plumbing team coming tomorrow morning with larger, specialized equipment to handle the job.

We know how incredibly stressful and inconvenient this is for your schedules, and we are so sorry for the disruption.

This flooding situation and the aftermath have been a huge challenge for our families, staff, and leadership team alike, and we are doing everything we can to fix this safely and quickly.

The health and safety of the children and staff remain our highest priority. We truly appreciate your grace and support as we work through this together.

🫧Little hands, big hearts, and endless creativity

Colossians 3:23 reminds us to do everything with all our heart. In the classroom, sculpting with Play-Doh isn’t just fun, it’s how our students practice focus, problem-solving, and fine motor skills.

PPCC Families,

Due to the continued flooding and unsafe conditions in the Park Place neighborhood, Park Place Children’s Center will be closed tomorrow, Friday, August 14.

The river has reached over 22 feet and continues to rise. A mandatory evacuation is underway in much of the Park Place neighborhood, and several nearby streets and bridges are closed. For the safety of our children, families, and staff, we believe closing is the safest decision.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please stay safe, avoid flooded roads, and continue watching Facebook for any additional updates regarding next week.

⭐️Circle Time is so much more than just sitting together. It is a time for our teachers to help our students build connections, practice language and listening skills, and learn new things!⭐️

💛From songs and stories to conversations and learning activities, our circle time routine gives children something to look forward to in their everyday rhythm.

✨Why these routines matter: Consistent routines like circle time help children know what to expect in their daily schedules, make them feel secure, and helps them build confidence as they participate!
