POST CLARIFICATION!!!
We would like to clear the air on something that brought more attention than we intended. We posted a picture of “The Hill” earlier today to show everyone some of the changes that were being made. This seemed to stir quite a bit of confusion and unrest. After many messages and comments, an online alumni petition, and even a couple media outlet interview requests, we felt the need to provide a little more information.

The “attention” to The Hill is something that is completely out of our control. Due to the baseball and softball turf projects currently underway, some changes had to be made to reduce future issues. Mainly this pertains to drainage, the possibility of future washouts and overall appearance. While we certainly know this brings disappointment to former players, it simply had to be done. We apologize to those who spent time learning life on that hill (some of you more than others) and feel disappointed that future Saints may not have the same opportunities.

With that being said, please understand that after renovations are done The Hill will be completely operational! We may lose a degree of slope in some spots, but we will gain it in other areas. And no, there won’t be any handrails! We are considering a fancy LBW branded rack for tires and ropes. So to our alumni and followers of the program, don’t be worried! More memories will soon be made! “ON THE HILL!!!”
