Students don't forget if you ordered a class ring or jacket. They will be in the office lobby starting around 10 for you to come pick up.

As you are shopping for school clothes over the summer for the upcoming school year, please be aware that the Covington County Schools Code of Conduct has changed in regard to the student dress code. Beginning next school year, leggings, jeggings, nor yoga pants or flared leggings will be allowed at all to be worn as outerwear. This means they cannot be allowed at all regardless of how long the shirt or top. Thank you for understanding and being prepared for this change.

Everyone get prepared for the upcoming Straughn Tiger Football season. Important dates to remember September 18th, we will host New Brockton for Homecoming. We will host Headland, October 23 for Senior Night. Come out and help support the Straughn Tigers.

Driver's Education will be provided on campus at SHS to 10th grade students next school year for those that have not already taken the course. It will be a semester course. Sophomores will take Health one semester and Driver's Ed for the other.
