Andale High School FFA students ran a Dr. Seuss station in the AES 2nd-grade classrooms during Dr. Seuss Day, teaching AES K-5 students about agriculture and FFA’s mission. They created a fun and engaging presentation that included a reading of Dr. Seuss’s book, “Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?” Thank you, FFA students! 🐮🐄🚜🌾📚

AHS Baking and Pastry students have been working on cake decorating. They researched different techniques, practiced with instant mashed potatoes, and designed a pull-apart cupcake cake. Today, they brought it to life. They did a phenomenal job!

Our Kansas Teacher of the Year nominees, Kirsten Meiries and Kim Lies, hosted their KTOY team members in Renwick on November 18th. Tours of all the buildings and highlights of our district were shared. Kim and Kirsten look forward to visiting the team members in their districts as well!

AHS Baking and Pastry classes learned how to make homemade sugar cookies and royal icing. They then learned how to decorate their cookies using various techniques.

We are proud to recognize another Everyday Hero in our district, Trisha Sohm, Language Arts Teacher at Andale Middle School and Assistant Volleyball coach at Andale High School for stepping in to a bigger role to lead the volleyball team in their summer workouts.

This was a tremendous help to the girls as we transition into a mostly new coaching staff. She didn’t get paid but did it to help out and go above and beyond for kids. She gave up part of her summer time off to make it for the volleyball players at Andale High School and that work has paid off as they finished the regular season as league champions, regional champions and host sub-state this Saturday at Andale High School. Thanks for going above and beyond Mrs. Sohm.
