The Captain John Sax Scholarship is now open for aspiring pilots to apply for!

Spread the word! Our application portal is open on our website, and our upcoming application deadline is May 15, 2024. By encouraging others to apply for a Capt. Sax Scholarship, you actively support our mission to honor the legacy of Capt. John J. Sax.

Just a few examples of who we can help:
• Current aviators, such as military or civilian pilots seeking additional hours, ratings, or licenses to advance or transition their careers.
• Aspiring aviators, offering support for ground school expenses, flight hours, textbooks/supplies, and other initial costs on this journey.
• College or technical school students focusing on aviation studies.

Donate to VMM-364 Purple Foxes Mishap Support On June 8, 2022, Capt John Sax, Capt Nicholas Losapio, Cpl Nathan Carlson, Cpl Seth Rasmuson, and LCpl Evan Strickland lost their lives when their MV-22B Osprey went down during a training mission near Glamis, CA. All five Marines were assigned to VMM-364 and based at Camp Pendleton, CA.
