TRUMPIAN AMERICANS ARE TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM THE BURDEN OF FREEDOM

(This piece is for those interested in political psychology and political sociology; we are witnessing the mass movement of insane people, Trumpian, a phenomenon that takes hold of Europeans every once in a while; the people are speeding to war; and contrary to what you might believe, warriors all over the world are cheering it because they believe that the world is overdue for a mass war to eliminate what Thomas Malthus called the unproductive and surplus population of mankind. War has a cleansing effect on society!)

Existentially depressed Americans seek escape from incessant preoccupation with politics and follow cultish political leaders promising to make America great.
These people are nihilistic, they are the type of people who followed Adolf Hitler(Hitler had promised to make Germany great); if they succeed in following their heaven-on-earth promising leader, Donald Trump, they may stimulate a world war that may destroy their civilization (just as Hitler’s war destroyed Germany).
Their more intelligent siblings escape into science and technology but ignore politics; the university crowd leaves their half-witted siblings to rule America.
America is good at producing food and technological gizmos for the people but discourages philosophical reasoning, preventing the people from developing reasonable purposes for living.
In the old European world, people had not yet been given birth to individuality and lived in the womb of society. However, certain developments in the Western world, such as The Renaissance, Reformation, The French Enlightenment, Industrialization, and Urbanization (and now the Information Revolution) have liberated people from the womb of unreasoning society and asked them to live as free human beings, to think for themselves.
But to think for themselves entails not knowing what the truth is, which can arouse tremendous existential anxiety in them.
The people sought ways to escape from their emergent freedom and its attendant anxiety by squelching their freedom and joining mindless political parties where the Fuhrer in Germany and the Il Duce in Italy told them what to do; they found security in being led, as they were led in the past by the Church and their kings.
Erich Fromm delineated these nihilistic trends in European society in his seminal book, Escape from Freedom; he talked about how Germans found no reason to live (the Church and kings used to give them reasons for living) and wanted to return to the old ways where religion and or authoritarian kings gave them reasons for living.
The past kings and the leaders of Christianity took Europeans to narcissistic wars to make them seem powerful and had their people kill other people and get killed. Europe, ruled by the kings and the Church, was characterized by incessant wars to make the kings and popes seem immensely powerful egos.
The point is that what constituted reality was defined for Europeans by the Church and their political leaders, so they did not have to think and try to figure out what reality was.
With the overthrow of kings, the aristocracy, and the marginalization of religion by science (Nietzsche said that God is dead), Europeans had no one to tell them what the truth was.
The N**i Party and the Fascist Party and their leaders proposed to define reality for them, and they followed them (as they are now following the five-year-old Donald Trump, who defines reality for them…imagine a five-year-old child telling supposed adult Americans what reality is; life, as existentialist thinkers say, is truly an absurd phenomenon!).
White America is seeking escape from freedom by joining the political cult of Donald Trump and his Maga Political Party. The self-anointed master of the universe, like Jim Jones of Jonestown, Guyana, is leading Americans to take the cool aid, to self-destruction. See Adorno et al (1950), The Authoritarian Personality.
What gives people meaning, such as loving your neighbor as you love yourself and working for the public good, the devilish leaders of America will not encourage their people to do it. Instead, they allow their society to become a jungle where the most amoral and predatory animals make tons of money, and the rest of the people live as homeless folks.
In this amoral situation, even the rich live meaningless lives and seek escape from alcohol, drugs, and unnatural s*x; they gravitate to whatever stimulates their bodies and enables them to forget their existential angst (mask the inherent absurdity of being a human being with the mind of the gods and the body of animals; human cognitive dissonance cannot be solved as long as human beings are a mix of gods and animals…unless you choose one, be a mindless religionist or be an equally mind dead Darwinian who believes in evolution theory).
What will save Americans is a return to true Christianity, and its emphasis on love for the whole self, aka God and love for all people, and organizing society to provide minimum survival for all people. A Christian society, as Jesus Christ taught in the parable of the Good Samaritan, must publicly pay for health care for all people and publicly fund education for all children through university and technical colleges, and then allow capitalism to distribute other goods and services in the economy.
These people Mist start doing what gives human beings a sense of meaning: loving and caring for each other, as Erich Fromm noted in his books, including The Art of Loving (1956).

(This dream is the second time a black bear confronted me. In the first dream, years ago, a black bear was in the bush across from the Osuji family compound, and as I came out of the compound and saw it, I went right back in and did so several times, each time going back. Thus, it prevented me from living my life. This time the black bear preventing me from living fully is chased away. The bear symbolizes the difficulties preventing me from living my life fully. I projected the bear because it is said to be a dangerous animal and since I lived in Alaska and knew about their reputation, I used them as a symbol of my difficulties. If you live in Africa, a tiger or lion may be the symbol of your perceived danger. I made the bear to make my life stunted. In today’s dream, I faced the bear, my problems, chasing me, and woke up from the dream. Until you face what is chasing you in the dream you call your life on earth you will not wake up, that is, live fully.)

In this dream, I was at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Umuohiagu (my village church). I was at the end of it that points to the market, Afo Umuohiagu, towards Umuagwu village. Someone in the church said that a bear would soon be coming into the building. People were now panicking and that same person said that the bear must not be shot at with a gun. I looked outside the window and saw a black bear walking on its two hind legs towards the building, accompanied by one man. I turned around and announced that the bear was outside the building and by the time I was done speaking most people in the church had already run away. I began running to the other end of the church to run away, ran outside, and turned towards the road going to Umuanyamele village and looked back and saw that the bear was now pursuing only me. I kept running, sometimes with someone else, but mostly alone. I saw a side road and ran into it and the bear turned to the side road and was now pursuing only one. I ran into a bush path and got out to what seemed to be Umuekwune road, close to where our village well used to be. There was a kiosk there and a kid was selling something, I ran past him, turned back, and asked him to give me a knife so that I could use it to confront the bear, and he bent over to get a knife for me, and before he could give it to me the bear disappeared. The moment I decided to fight the bear it disappeared, and I woke up.

THE MEANING OF THE DREAM

The meaning of the dream is that my problem is chasing me, and I am trying to run away from it but the moment I resolve to fight it, solve it, with the instrument that could kill it, overcome it, a knife, the problem is no longer there.
The problem was never real. I set it up to chase me, to prevent me from living fully. I set the bear up to chase me and when I stopped running away from it, resolved to kill it with a knife, since I was told in a Church not to shoot it, it was like a coward and ran away.
I was the one chasing me with problems and when I decided to fight them and resolve them, they went away.

There is in truth nothing chasing me. My life is my dream in which I felt that something dangerous was chasing me. I had a dream in which I set up social and biological problems to seem to beset me when they do not exist, just as my ego and body do not exist, but I made them seem to exist to grapple with them, complaining that something is making my life difficult.
This is what life is all about. There are no external planet Earth and no people. We are all in a formless unified spirit state and choose to separate from it, we cannot separate from It and make bodies and separate selves for each of us.
Each person chooses the type of body and ego he wants to live in; his life on earth is self-chosen, to learn from it.
I chose a weak body that makes me feel inferior to compensate for with desire for a superior self and pursue a superior self and fear failing to attain it, hence living in anxiety, stress, and other issues (the desired superior self is delusional).
Each of us sets up a problem to chase him, for him to try to solve it. There is no problem but the objective of life on earth is to have a problem that seems real but that does not exist until one fights back and realizes that it does not exist, and one lives in peace.
While in God, unified spirit, one dreams that one is on a place called planet Earth, living in the body and is beset by problems.
You dream that you are in a dense body or in some lifetimes you dream that you are in a light body; both dense and light-formed bodies and worlds are fictional.
You can also dream that you are in other universes; there are infinite universes, all unreal, all dreams.
Only the unified spirit self is real, not a dream.

There is no separate me in body, sitting in front of the computer and typing this material, or at night lying on my bed or couch because there is no bed, no couch, only the real me, the part of the whole self, God, exists and it has no physical dimension, it is just an idea in the idea of the whole self, aka God.
While in the idea of the whole self (God), I wish for the idea of a self in a body and dream with those. There is no separated ego, body, and death of the body, no planet earth but if you desire to experience those, they will seem to exist for you and seem real for you and present you with challenges to deal with.
The world you see today, your body, other people in bodies, stars, planets, moons, plants, animals, and every material thing does not exist; they are remembered things and do not exist now.
They may have seemed to have existed in the past that never existed, and you remember them. You remember your body which does not exist and has never existed.
You are dreaming now and project your body and all the things you see into that dream. You, your parents, and siblings do not exist in bodies, they are ideas of parts in the mind of God, your real mind, that you gave bodies and projected into space and time, of your making.
In truth, only God, the formless unified self, of which you are a part, and its unified mind, which you are also a part exist; they exist eternally, and you use that mind to dream several lives on earth and in other planets and universes, all dreams.
The dense world of matter, space, and time that I see is not there. The Holy Spirit’s purified world is also not there. I see myself in the world I want to see myself in.
Africans in their perpetual poverty do not exist; developed Africa does not exist but if that is what you desire you will see it in your dream.
Only the formless light self exists; all the rest are dreams that are not real.
There is no external world. There is no Africa, Europe, America, or Asia. There are no suffering Africans and arrogant white folks discriminating against them. All these things are ideas in my mind that I projected into a dream and the dream seems real to me.
I want these things to be real and they are real for me to make me fearful and angry until I overlook the dream, and accept that it does not exist, no white folks persecuting Black folks, no people in bodies.
If I believe this the world would disappear for me, but not for those who still want it to be real for them.
The world is a dream that each of us chooses to have and it seems real to us until we accept that it is not real and exit from the dream, awaken and those who still seek separation from their real self, unified spirit self, will continue seeing the world, living many lifetimes in the dream, all false until they wake up and realize that at no point did the world exist.

DISCUSSION

A dream symbolizes what is going on in one’s life. This particular dream symbolizes my tendency to want to run away from my problems and tells me that if I stop and deal with them realistically, I will have a less problematic existence.
A bear is not dealt with bare hands but with a knife or a gun. If you point a gun at a bear and fire at it, you kill it, and it dies. Talking about guns, I am a particularly good shot, one of the best, in fact, and I am not afraid of using guns.
The point is that if you boldly and aggressively confront your issues you find that they disappear and not the mountain you had made them.
One must live fearlessly, which entails, among other things, living lovingly, loving you, and loving all human beings. One must love all, without compromise. One does not have the option to love or not to love, one must love all people.
To love is to connect, join with those one loves, and work with them in solving our human problems.
One must not separate from other people and try living alone. There is no such thing as living alone, we are eternally connected in heaven and on earth.
Don't try to do things to please other people so that they like you; instead, do only what you know is right even if some people do not like it. Live boldly doing what you know is right.
As a kid, due to my medical issues, I used to feel inferior and compensated with the pursuit of superiority. Well, all people are the same and coequal so one is not superior to any human being. Nevertheless, on earth, each person is unique, each person has certain talents that other people may not have. I have an extraordinary understanding of physics, philosophy, and psychology. I must use that knowledge to make money.
You must sell to other people what you are good at, just as you buy from other people what they are good at, what they produce, and sell.
The universe gives each of us a talent and plans for us to develop it and use the money we make from it to buy goods and services provided by other people with different talents; if we are all good at the same thing our lives would be boring. Specialization of skills and talents is good for all of us on earth.

CONCLUSION

Maturity lies in being who you know yourself to be. Be who you are. Be proud of your black self and be proud of being a human being.
You cannot hate yourself and love other people; you give to other people what you have given to you, self-acceptance or self-hatred.
Don’t try to be like other people because you are not other people, you are you and cannot be like other people and other people cannot be like you. There is only one you in the entire universe. The universe cannot be complete without you or other people.
It is nice to forgive all of us for our wrongdoings because we do them in our dreams of separation, which we have not done, but we currently live with other people who can harm people. We must work to prevent them from harming people and not just sweep their wrongs under the rug.
Donald Trump and his white racists, for example, are evil incarnate; you do not forgive them and overlook them; you correct them by telling them the truth of our need to love each other. If they choose war, then one must arm up and fight them.
Yes, fight evil and do not tolerate it under the guise of some stupid religion that asks folks to forgive.
Forgiving evil does not make it go away, you correct evil, any way you can do so, including by force but with also love.
The entire Earth belongs to all human beings, not to this or that race. Any human being has the right to live wherever he wants to live and should not permit aggressive predatory animals like Trump to tell one that one does not belong in any part of the world. They did not create the world, do not own it, and have no right to tell anyone where to live. Meet aggression with aggression.
Love is ideal but sometimes war is inevitable. I am an Osuji-Njoku, our people's traditional warriors and high priests, and must not shy away from war because it is sometimes necessary for settling conflicts.

THE UNIVERSE PRODUCES ANIMALS THAT HAVE A SENSE OF SEPARATED SELVES AND MAKE THEM DEFEND THOSE PHANTOM SELVES AND IN THE PROCESS SUFFER PSYCHOLOGICAL PAIN
DO NOT WISH TO HAVE A SEPARATED SELF AND DO NOT DEFEND IT AND YOU LIVE IN PEACE!

(The following observations are for you if you are philosophical. Less than one percent of the human race is philosophical; if you are not, move on and don’t bother to read this material.)

All Animals, especially the human variety, have a sense of separate selves; they struggle to make themselves survive by eating other animals and or vegetables. They defend themselves.
They want to seem like they matter in other animals’ eyes. Then they die and decay and are forgotten. And the dance of false importance, the stuff that history is made of, goes on with those still alive.
There is no separated self; this is the teaching of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism. As long as you desire to have a separated self and defend it you will suffer.
To stop suffering you must have no desire for a separated self and must not defend what you call yourself. You must have no ego and become defenseless (of your ego and body).
As long as you desire a self, ego you must fear not having it, hence have anxiety, anger, depression, paranoia, mania, and schizophrenia.
With no self, there are no emotions and no mental disorders. With no self, you are like a tree; if the soil has water and other nutrients you survive if not you die off and your body becomes part of the manure of the soil for other trees to flourish from (or become fossil fuel).
There is no self; to believe that one has a self is to have an illusion and in serious cases delusion.
Only Life exists and that life is the accidental production of the combination of elements in animals’ brains and plants' bodies and dies with their death hence is not eternal.
Life is an illusion that seems to exist but does not exist.
As I write, white egos feel threatened by the presence of nonwhite egos; they fear replacement of their selves by nonwhites; they think that brown and Black people will destroy them and replace them, so, they, under their narcissistic, sociopathic, and deluded leader, Donald Trump, are going to fight, kill, and be killed to seem to have egos in existence.
Other people are doing the same thing. This is the story of human existence. Each individual, tribe, and race engage in the dance to seem to exist, kill, and get killed to make his and their egos and bodies seem to exist and then they die and are eaten by worms that are eaten by bacteria that are eaten by other microorganisms.
Ultimately, the earth will die when the sun dies in a supernova and nature takes people out of their miserable desire for existence and the universe continues to exist with nothing in it, not even stars and planets because those, too, will decay and go out of existence.
All elements will decay into electrons, protons, and neutrons, and those decay into light, and physical light decay to nothingness.
If you understand all this then you live quietly, maybe studying science to understand the nothingness of existence.
If you want to be happy, Siddhartha Buddha asks you to give up your desire for a separated ego self, extinguish your desire for a self, and live as a part of one unified life, without defending the separated part of it that you call yourself. Be defenseless and you are happy, the enlightened sage of India said, 2500 years ago.
Life on earth is nothingness that insists on trying to seem like it is something important and existent when it is not important and does not exist, or seems to exist briefly, like a lit candle and is soon extinguished (out, out, brief candle, the immortal bard, contemplating the transience and ephemerality of life said in one of his tragedies…McBeth?).

ATTENTION SEEKING FOR THE EGO-SEPARATED SELF

For whom did I write this material? I wrote it for me. Do I want other people to read it? If so, why?
What does it matter whether other people read it or not? Am I using it to seek other people's attention for my ego?
But my ego and other people's egos do not exist, so who is seeking attention and from whom?
Why not then just know that there is no self and give up your hitherto delusion that you had a self and keep quiet without bothering with attention from other people?
Even if other people have the delusion that they have selves all they do is give themselves psychological pain, anxiety, and mental disorders, and that makes them seem alive when they are not alive.
People struggle to build houses to seem powerful and wealthy but in time they and their houses will decay to sand. One must leave the delusional game to seem existent and important alone.
I wrote this stuff after I returned from the store. In the store, I saw people buying all sorts of things that keep capitalism going. Capitalists produce an unending array of material stuff, and their slavish consumers buy the endless junk that they may or may not use, and then throw them away. They and their material goods eventually die and decay to nothingness. It occurred to me that it would be nice if we simply accepted our nothingness and left it at that.
But can we ever accept our nothingness?
Nothingness is a concept. Someone does the conceptualizing. I am the one doing the conceptualization here. Without conciseness conceptualizing nothingness, there would be no nothingness.
And what exactly is nothingness? Nothingness is part of language, denoting the existence of nothing. How do I know that nothing exists beyond observing the obvious that things that seem to exist do change forms and, ultimately, change to things that we do not understand?
Language is symbolic, is a system of metaphors that represent what we think that we know that we do not know. What is the truth? We do not know.
(Outside my window I see a tree. We name it a tree. But that tree is composed of many chemical elements, such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen, that are composed of electrons, protons, and neutrons that are composed of quarks that are made from light that are made from what we do not know! Therefore, the term tree, or any word, does not tell us what things are, we do not know what reality is!)
Some say that the truth is the unity of all things as one thing. How do we know that is true? Language deceives us.
Ludwig Wittgenstein pointed out in his book, Tractatus Logical Philosophicus (2007), the inherent problem of language; can we understand anything through language? Maybe not!
What is the solution? One must keep quiet because words, speech, and language cannot tell one what the truth is!
Asian religions tell us the same thing; they ask us to keep our minds emptied of all concepts and stay there and if there is truth beyond words and ego categories it will dawn on our mind, and if not then we live without knowing the truth.

Note

When I was a kid, I used to ask too many why questions. Folks felt that I was bothering them and mostly walked away from me. They could not answer my questions; they could not help me figure out the nature of reality. I learned to try finding answers to my questions by myself, because other people, not even Jesus Christ, had answers for me. If I cannot do so, I just keep quiet and do not expect other people to answer them for me.
I must confess that Nigerians and Africans used to seem to me as mere animals without brains in their thick skulls; they did not seem to have philosophical reasoning ability and merely jabbered rubbish that they believed made sense whereas to philosophers, they are like monkeys making bleating noises. It took me a while to realize that most human beings are like Africans, lacking in philosophical reasoning. Thus, I learned to relate to them as one relates to children, without taking what they say seriously!
Of all human beings, Hindus are the most philosophical; the Chinese are very practical and technological; the Europeans are very scientific, the Americans are lacking in philosophy but can apply European science and hence are useful. We are yet to find out what Africans are good at! They must be good at something.

DEMOCRATS MUST STOP USING AND DISCARDING BLACK FOLKS!

Democrats' refusal to engage in bold political behavior is a part of the problem of American politics.
We all know what Republicans want. They want white supremacy. All the noise you hear about Donald Trump boils down to one statement: white folks believe that he is their messiah, that he is going to save them from nonwhites replacing them as the rulers of the USA.
They are not rallying around Trump because he is a genius. No, he is as dumb as a doorknob and they know it but he does what they want done, promises to keep brown people from Central America out of the USA, and put black people in America in their place, second class status, making sure that America is a capitalist economy and a few have most of the money and the many, as in traditional Europe, work as serfs for their lords.
We know that the first thing that Trump will do in office is cut taxes for the rich and try to eliminate Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and other social safety net programs.
Racists believe that those social programs keep nonwhites afloat; therefore, gut them and let minority persons live on the streets as homeless folks.
Stop all immigration from non-Scandinavian countries. America must be kept white at all costs. This is the card on the table and if you do not know it, you are a fool.
Democrats present themselves as the alternative to Republican racism, hence Black folks vote for them. Black folks will mostly vote for Kamala Harris (at least, 90% of them will vote for her).
Latinos are Catholics and accept their church’s preachment that abortion is wrong, so they tend to vote with conservatives. Yet the same Conservatives want to round them up and ship them back to Latin America.
Why they do not mostly vote for Democrats tells you that folks can be socialized to vote against their self-interests; poor whites internalized the norm of voting against their class interests hence they support the Republican party, a party that exists to serve the oligarchy that rules America.
Democrats could stop supporting Latin immigration and let Republicans round them up and send them away. They deserve that treatment if they are not smart enough to know what conservatives have in store for them. Why fight for ungrateful people?

My issue is not the Latino vote. My issue is why Democrats refuse to fight as aggressively as Republics do.
Most Black people will vote for Kamala Harris. Despite what you heard about the neck-and-neck between her and Trump, she is going to win by a comfortable margin in the Electoral College. You would then think that she would do something that benefits Black folks. No, she would not.
The moment she is elected, like Barack Obama, she would ignore Black Folks. Democrats take Black folks' votes for granted because they realize that Republicans are not an option to any rational Black person.
Only a self-hating Black person would vote for the clown called Donald Trump.

In post-Second World War Western Europe, realizing that all the people were white hence their people, the various European countries gave all their people publicly paid health care and publicly paid education through universities and technical schools.
America refused to do what its European siblings did because it felt that to do so would make many Black people live longer; they wanted Black folks to die when their work life ran out, about age sixty-five.
Moreover, they do not want Black folks educated because educated Black people would challenge their power.

If This is the case, why don’t Democrats, upon election, enact legislation that gives all Americans publicly paid health care and education through universities (while also allowing private health care and schools)?
Why not boldly do what supports Black and Poor White folks, why ignore the needful and yet every four years ask these people to vote for you just because you know that the other party ignores them?
When will Democrats grow balls and do the right thing instead of being mini-Republicans? We already know that Republicans are mean-spirited and will go down with their evil empire, an empire that exists to rob the entire world and intimidate people into supporting their unchristian values.
Why hasten the coming decline and fall of the USA by doing what Republicans do and, in their myopia, think that it serves them well?
Listen, all people are the same, and, therefore, no one is replacing anyone. The entire world belongs to all people and what needs to be done is to educate every child to as far as his brain can take him.
A third of the population can do university work; and the rest of the population, minus two percent of the population with intellectual disabilities, can go through high school and benefit from technical colleges.
Offer all children a publicly paid education and health care and the inevitable majority brown population will not mean the fall of the US empire.
The Roman and Greek Empires were Mediterranean empires (brown people’s empires). It collapsed when the Nordic Germans took it over because the Germans were barbarian and uneducated. If the Romans had allowed the Germans to be educated, their empire would not have collapsed.
Educate all Americans (in the scientific method and scientific culture), white, black, and brown, and the American civilization is not going to die out, as it plans to die out at the end of this century if it does not educate its coming majority population of brown people.
Why don’t Democrats do the right thing, why are they so wimpy that they lose courageous folks’ respect? Why are they disgustingly cowardly?
Republicans are hopelessly naive about the future of humankind. Democrats can save the country by doing the right thing.
Trump wants only immigrants from Scandinavia because he has the illusion that they are the only remaining white folks in Europe; he sees Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain already swamped by non-Europeans.
If this man had even a smidgeon of intelligence in his brain, he would know that all the people of the world would eventually live together, and the result would be the browning of their population.
People remained white, Black, and Asian because the poor transportation technology in the past kept them separated from each other.
As people from various parts of the world come together the result is the mixing of people and their browning (as in the ancient civilizations of Egypt and the Middle East).
You do not fight the inevitable but embrace it and make the conditions for its survival propitious by offering all children access to high-quality education and health care.
