Recently this month, AFROTC and AROTC joined forces for an unforgettable joint Military Ball. Cadets from both branches came together for a night of camaraderie, tradition, and celebration, strengthening bonds across services. The evening was capped off by our distinguished guests of honor, who shared powerful lessons and leadership insights from their time in uniform.

This week, we would like to highlight C/Cooley, C/Alenepi, C/Murray, C/Schropp, and C/Klein as they prepare to commission and become officers in the United States Air Force. Throughout their time here, they have grown tremendously as cadets and imparted invaluable knowledge and leadership to their peers.

While we have no doubt they will excel as officers, their presence at DET 001 will truly be missed.

Take care, Seniors! We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and grateful for the impact you have had on this detachment.

Good job DET 001, you made it through the spring semester! πŸŽ‰

In our final week of LLAB, DET 001 built teamwork through a flight run and a competitive volleyball tournament 🏐 during PT. Meanwhile, in LLAB, cadets completed one last GLP before attending a Commander’s Call, where announcements were made and awards were presented πŸ†. To close it out, the new wing commander was revealed.

Way to finish strong, DET 001. Now let’s crush finals! πŸ’ͺπŸ“š

Court is in session, DET 001 βš–οΈ
For Week 13 PT, cadets took on the PFA to assess physical capability and resilience before transitioning into a heated volleyball circuit focused on teamwork and tactical coordination 🏐

During LLAB, cadets visited base to observe and learn about military judicial proceedings, culminating in a mock trial featuring our very own mascot, ROCO πŸ“š

High intensity on the field and high stakes in the courtroom, once again showcasing another week of growth, grit, and leadership at DET 001 πŸ”₯

We would like to recognize C/Lt Col Murray, C/2d Lt Williamson, C/McGraw, and C/Courtney for representing DET 001 at this year’s AAS NATCON in Dallas, TX! ✈️

While there, our cadets had the opportunity to hear from senior leaders such as CMSAF David R. Wolfe and CSAF Kenneth S. Wilsbach, while connecting with detachments from across the nation and enhancing their professional development πŸ“š

The trip culminated with our own C/Lt Col Murray receiving the ASU Commander’s Cup πŸ† This is an award presented to the most outstanding AAS squadron commander in the nation.

We are incredibly proud of his leadership, including reactivating our squadron this year and contributing over 180 hours of community service on top of that.

Outstanding representation, cadets. Thank you for leading from the front! πŸ‘πŸ”₯

At PT, cadets tackled intense cardio sessions before wrapping up with a competitive wall-sit challenge πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ”₯

We would like to commend several of our cadets for engaging with our sister AROTC detachment by participating in the Combat Water Survival Test.

During this assessment, cadets completed a series of water-based exercises designed to evaluate swimming proficiency, weapon handling, and endurance.

We extend our sincere thanks to our sister branch for the opportunity to train alongside their cadets and strengthen interservice collaboration.

Keep up the outstanding work, cadets! 🌊

This week, we would like to recognize two outstanding cadets who have gone above and beyond during the month of March: our POC of the Month, C/2d Lt Williamson, and our GMC of the Month, C/Waitman. ⭐

As PT Officer, C/2d Lt Williamson has consistently exceeded expectations by developing innovative PT sessions that challenge cadets both physically and mentally. His leadership and initiative continue to elevate the standard within the detachment. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

C/Waitman, an AS100 cadet who joined this semester, has already made a strong first impression through his commitment to the program and his drive to continuously improve. His motivation and professionalism set the tone for future success. πŸ“ˆ

Congratulations to both of these cadets on a well-deserved recognition! πŸŽ–οΈ
