We are a very devoted and determined Team of Advocates for all Victims of Abuse. In particular Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, Child Abuse sadly is something that is very close to our hearts. We are not afraid to speak out and especially when it is on topics of abuse, as in our opinion not enough speak out and those that do, are not always heard. We need to scream, from the rooftops that
Abuse is not acceptable at any level. Human Trafficking is directly linked to Child Abuse, as so many victims flee home to escape the abuse, and these predators target them and then sadly trap them in a further life of abuse. One that is nearly impossible to escape from. To make change happen in the lives of victims, and to make so many more survivors in life and to stop living in fear and been abused is something that we are dedicated to not only in the USA but across the world working with victims of abuse, is our vocation in life
One area of abuse that really irritates us is the Ignorance towards Men who are Victims of Domestic Violence or Child Abuse. They have no more a choice to be a victim or not than any woman does, but where as most women have the choice to become survivors and ask for help, in general due to the stigma and the taboo attached to Male Abuse, few ask for help and even fewer receive it. We need to educate all that abuse happens in both genders and both genders are not only victims but also abusers. Until we do this Men are going to continue to suffer in silence and I am determined to try and make my voice heard so as to help this change. Men, Women, Children are all entitled to the support of the Community and Advocates as well as the Court Systems. We have to ensure the safety of all victims as our priority. Life was hard and it still is, but we are determined to make sure that our future is a happy one and not one filled with fear or abuse. We are happy to speak anywhere and to participate in anything that will help spread the word that abuse and all abuses must stop now. Working as Advocates for Abuse is not about getting rich or a stress free life, no it is about helping those that can not help themselves, that have no strength to find their voice to ask for help, but more importantly letting them know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and the road to been a Survivor in life may well be a long bendy one, but it is a road that is well worth taking.
