Summertime isn’t just for relaxing, it’s a chance to build, earn, and grow. ☀️

Whether it’s a summer job, an apprenticeship, babysitting, or even starting your own small business, every step you take now sets you up for the future.

Make this summer count!

Parents, schools, churches, and community partners, encourage your youth (14–24) to attend.

Income is more than a paycheck.

It’s the starting point for:
• Building a saving-first mindset
• Learning real-world money skills
• Creating options after high school
• Funding their future without unnecessary debt

Young adults don’t just need motivation. They need opportunities and guidance.

A job fair is a stepping stone toward independence.

And when youth learn to:
*Earn intentionally
*Save consistently
*Spend wisely

Money no longer controls their choices, it expands them.

Let’s raise a generation that works with purpose and saves with vision.

Helping young adults is more than good it’s great 😊

This moment right here. One of the most powerful parts of this work. Listening.

During my parent focus group, one parent said what so many of us learn late:
young adults shouldn’t wait until their 40s or 50s to start saving and investing. The parent shared how waiting too long to invest and save for retirement is one of the biggest regrets she had and how earlier guidance would have changed her current financial situation.

That didn’t come from a textbook.
It came from lived experience.

These are the moments shaping what I build.

Real experience, passed forward.

I’m hosting a parent focus group for those raising teens and young adults because preparing them for adulthood shouldn’t feel this overwhelming.

Many parents tell me they’re stuck between wanting to help and not wanting to enable. Schools don’t always fill the gap, and parents are left guiding based of what they know about money, future decisions, and independence. This is also hard on their relationship during this stage of their child’s life.

Before launching my next offering, I want to listen.

This focus group will explore:
• Where parents feel least confident
• What support would actually be helpful
• How to prepare youth for adulthood and to win with money without rescuing them

If you’re a parent who wants your child confident, capable, and financially prepared for what’s next, comment PARENT or send me a DM for details.

I’m putting together a focus group for youth ages 16–25, and this is about your voice.
If you’ve ever felt confused about money, adulting, or “what’s next”… you’re not alone. Most young adults aren’t struggling because they don’t care, they’re struggling because they’re navigating real life without clear guidance or support.

This focus group is not a class.
Not a lecture.
Just a real conversation.

I want to hear:
• What feels stressful right now, your current challenges
• What you wish adults explained sooner
• What kind of support would actually help

If you’re between 16–25 and want a say in resources built for you, comment YOUTH or send me a DM.

Last week was heavier than I expected.
We said goodbye to one of our very first family pets. 💔

Sweet Potato may have been small, but the emotions were big, especially for my daughter which meant for me as well.

What surprised me most wasn’t just the loss…
It was the freedom I felt while making the decision.

Money wasn’t driving the moment.
Stress about money wasn’t clouding my judgment.

I didn’t have to choose the cheapest option, I could choose the right one for our family.
I was able to take her to the vet. I had lots of thoughts going through my mind about taking a guinea pig to the vet. It was hard finding one that would even see her.

But, I could afford to take her and the different end-of-life options. I was able to ask my daughter what she wanted to do. I could give my daughter choices and space for closure.
Growing up, that wasn’t my reality. Money often decided for us. I am grateful to God that isn’t the case for my children and I don’t take that lightly.
Last week reminded me why I do the work I do. Helping youth build a financial foundation early, so money doesn’t control their choices later.

There were tears, yes.
But there was also gratitude.

This is what financial freedom really looks like to me:
👉 being able to show up fully in hard moments
👉 not feeling guilt or fear tied to spending
👉 not letting money drive my choices

Money didn’t drive my choices, I was able to drive and make the decisions and that matters.
Financial freedom doesn’t mean you won’t face losses.

It just means money isn’t the one making the decision and it changes how you show up.
