We are growing more and more excited each day for school to start! This year we are working again with Alaska Botanical Garden for our afterschool gardening club. Tali helped take care of our garden all summer with Camp Bear Valley.
We look forward to seeing our cubs soon for another amazing year of growth and learning!

Hey Bear Valley! We are getting ready to welcome our cubs back to school. Big shoutout 📣 to Anchorage School District Maintenance Department! Our playground is “fun”ready. The slide and tunnel are repaired and ready for play!

Hey Bear Valley! It’s Cubby….. I wanted to share some news, before we “offically” share some news. I got to go with Mrs. Scherer to Orlando this week and help her accept the National Gold Star School award for Bear Valley. This award celebrates all the hard work put in by staff and students each day. Here is a little glimpse at my adventures. Mrs. Scherer even took me to Magic Kingdom! Way to go Bear Valley.

Hey Bear Valley Cubs! Here is a chance to show off your Pledge of Allegiance skills in July!

It’s that time of the year already! We are one week away from the 2026 I Pledge for Ice Cream project!

We think patriotism is pretty darn important so for the entire month of July we are participating in the “I Pledge Project”.

•What is the “I Pledge Project”?- Celebrating both “National Ice Cream Month” and the birth of our nation, the “I Pledge Project” rewards children 12 and under across America for their patriotism by offering them free ice cream just for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance by memory.

•Here’s how it works- Swing by our scoop shop on the days and times listed below, recite the Pledge of Allegiance from memory and we’ll reward your patriotic spirit with a free kids scoop of ice cream. It’s that simple!
