For those of you that didn’t already see the official SciShow announcement- I spent the whole summer writing episodes and filming as the new Scientist Resident for the SciShow team! This was an awesome experience working with some truly incredible writers, editors and producers doing so much to bring science to the public, and on top of that- the residency helped pay for my Mid-Ocean Ridge research!

Truly thankful to have science communication opportunities helping fund and further my research career, and bring my love of MORBs to the SciShow studio.

Geology is so much more than most people know about it, and geology majors can go into ALL kinds of earth science folds, not just geologist positions specifically.

A geology major opens so many doors you’d never think of, and geoscience is so much more than just oil and mining. Truth is most people just don’t know what geology is. Only about 15% of geologists work in oil and mining directly. Follow along to hear about what the other 85% of us do :)
