Anchorage middle schools prepare to include sixth grade starting this fall Middle schools are rearranging floor plans, hiring teachers and adding portables to accommodate the students.

DID YOU KNOW: Three classrooms and one hallway are set up with permanent water catch systems that are made out of tarps, visqueen plastic, and hoses? They funnel water leaked from the roof into trash cans and sinks. It has been this way for years, and due to its extremely poor condition, Romig’s roof is no longer able to be patched. This impacts the learning environment as well as safety.

There will be many more places that will leak this Spring during the thaw and when it rains.

Romig Families, let's get our beloved school fixed.

Cake Auction: 24th Annual Band, Orchestra, Choir Concert Sponsorship  

The 24th annual, beloved concert-auction is a fundraiser for Romig’s large and diverse music program and, this year, our after school programs. With 6th grade students joining Romig MS next year and reduced District-funds for after school activities and programs, we need your help more than ever! The money raised will:

- Provide scholarships for music competitions and events
- Buy new music licenses for our students
- Repair band and orchestra instruments in need
- Purchase sound and stage equipment essential for community performances
- Continue offering a diverse selection of activities and programs to keep our students active after the school day.
