Yeehaw- Trailside Elementary School Dine to Donate Family Night is tomorrow (Tuesday, September 1) from 4-7 Dine in or takeout both support our school, just mention you’re there to support Trailside!

On Tuesday, September 1, from 4–9 PM, Texas Roadhouse (9001 Old Seward Highway) is hosting a Dine to Donate night for Trailside Elementary School. Just eat there that night, let them know you’re with our fundraiser, and 10% of your bill comes back to our school.

Bring the grandparents. Bring the neighbors. Bring your church group or your kid’s soccer team. The whole community is welcome — this isn’t just for Trailside families!

How to get credit for the fundraiser:
✅ Show a printed flyer
✅ Show a photo of the flyer on your phone
✅ Or just tell your server you’re here for the Trailside fundraiser — that works too!

Can’t make it in for dinner? TO-GO orders count as well, including the Family Pack specials — just add “Trailside fundraiser” in the online order notes, or mention it when you call it in.

🐺 Welcome back, Timberwolves families!

A new school year is here, and we couldn't be more excited to kick things off at Trailside Elementary School!

Behind every great school year is a strong, connected community—and that's exactly what the PTA is all about. From the Read-A-Thon to Fall Festival, Math and Science Night to staff appreciation, none of it happens without families like yours stepping up and getting involved.

Whether you've got five minutes or five hours to give this year, there's a place for you. Joining is simple, affordable, and it's one of the best ways to stay in the loop on everything happening at Trailside! We will be scheduling our first meeting for September soon and hope to see you there!

Trailside Elementary School was featured on Your Alaska Link TV today as students were welcomed back to school for the 2026/27 school year!

We hope everyone had a great first day and is ready for another great year!

We can't wait to see everyone this afternoon! The weather is cooperating, so everyone will be set up at the back of the school by the playground.

Life Skills families -- you will head inside to meet with your teachers at 4 p.m. Trailside is a polling location, so just navigate past that setup in the MPR to find your teachers!

📚 Summer Library starts TOMORROW!

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30–11:30 AM, the library is coming to us. Since our nearest branch is more than five miles away, this program is a great way to keep kids reading and exploring all summer long — right here close to home.

Open to all kids (not just Timberwolves!) as long as they have a library card.

🐺 What a week to be a Timberwolf! 🐺

We closed out the school year the right way — otter pops in hand, music blasting, and the whole Trailside community together one last time.

From Field Day to DJ Day and our dance party, to watching our 5th graders walk the halls one last time to their Moving On Ceremony — this week had all the feels!

And while we’re celebrating, we also want to pause and say something important:

This year, Trailside Elementary School is saying goodbye to three incredible teachers who — between the three of them — have given over 74 years to educating kids, most of them right here in our halls.

Mr. Richardson. Mrs. Chiacchia. Ms. Fossler.

Thank you doesn’t quite cover it, but it’s where we’ll start. Your patience, your dedication, and the way you showed up for kids year after year has left a mark on this school and this community that won’t fade. We hope retirement brings you everything you’ve earned.

To every student, family, staff member, and volunteer who made this year what it was — thank you. See you in the fall, Timberwolves. 🐾
