The Ptarmigan Front Office is preparing to close but will be returning from summer break on July 20th. We wanted to remind all of our Timberwolf parents/guardians that Online Registration is now OPEN for all students that are returning to ASD for next 26/27 school year, even if they are not returning to Ptarmigan but will be attending another school in the district. If you haven't done so already, please get back-to-school ready by completing your student's Online Registration through the ParentConnect Portal @ https://parentconnect.asdk12.org/production/parentportal. You can retrieve your ParentConnect PIN/ID and also reset your password by visiting the Login Reminder Page https://parentconnect.asdk12.org/.../Home/LoginReminder.
Please remember that ALL students will need to have Online Registration completed for EVERY school year that they are in the district and the earlier it's completed, the better! If your student is not returning to Ptarmigan or will be moving out of the Anchorage School District, please contact the front office @742-0407 or email the Secretary, Karen Johnson @ [email protected] as soon as possible.
We wish all of our Timberwolf families a wonderfully restful summer break!

We still have an overflowing lost & found and today was the last day of school for the 25/26 school year. Parent/Guardians, you have until 2pm tomorrow, May 22nd to collect any items you may recognize as your students before it goes to donation, please.
05/21/2026
We have a few unclaimed prescription glasses that have yet to be picked up. Timberwolf parents/guardians, do any of you recognize these? The Front Office will be leaving for summer break after May 29th, so please stop by to claim them.

It takes a great amount of courage to perform in front of a crowd, let alone the entire school. We are incredibly proud of our students that chose to perform for the Talent Show yesterday! GREAT JOB, Timberwolves!
05/19/2026
With only a couple of days left of school, we are asking all parents/guardians to take a moment to check our overflowing lost & found for any misplaced belongings. Any uncollected items will be donated prior to the Front Office closing for summer break.

Reminder that our 5th Grade Walk-Thru/Promotion Ceremony is tomorrow @ 12:50pm, not on Thursday which is the students last day. We encourage our 5th Grade families & friends to arrive early to sign-in and get visitor stickers. Also, please remember not to bring latex balloons due to latex allergies.🎊

It's hard to choose what was our favorite thing about Field Day this past Friday because it was such a fun day filled with laughter and excitement but we know our Field Day wouldn't have been as successful without the long list of Volunteers that took time out of their day to help us out!
Thank you to Mr. Nees for organizing and all of our parent/guardian volunteers for volunteering their time and spending the day with their Timberwolves and the rest of their pack.
Thank you to Ptarmigan's own Student Resource Officer, Officer Salao for taking the time out of his busy day to hang out, pass out stickers, and spend quality time with our students.
Thank you to Anchorage Fire Department Station 6 Fire Engine Crew and Fire Captain Jacob Ohms for letting our Timberwolves take pictures with then and that awesome fire truck.
Thank you to School Business Partnership's Executive Director, Colette Moring who came and volunteered her time.
And last but not least, thank you to all of the military soldier volunteers from JBER, the 18th CEC-I 6th BEB. We welcomed the extra Volunteers and you are welcome to help out at Ptarmigan anytime!

It would be an understatement to say that our Breakfast with a Loved One was a complete success! We broke some serious attendance records with a whopping total of 217 people in attendance, a total of 99 individual families this morning! What an incredible turnout, Timberwolf Families!
Thank you to Nurse Cassie, Mrs. Stout, Ms. Gay and Ms. Rose for helping make SOOOO many pancakes and thank you to everyone that volunteered their time helping us out. Our hearts are full! ❤️
