Make an impact in our community and join our team! Applications for the Honors Peer Ambassador Program are open.

Honors Peer Ambassadors help promote the Honors College to both prospective and current Honors Students. Peer Ambassadors attend UAA recruitment events, speak at Honors GER courses, or promote the Honors College through other means. Additionally, they also help plan social activities for the Honors College, to help foster a sense of community and belonging among UAA Honors students.

Hannah Klemm is a talented and passionate vocalist in our Honors College program. Check out her amazing performance as the Queen of the Night!

Beginning June 3, join the Dean of the Honors College, Dr. Ball, and her goofy pup, JD, for walks!

Dog Walks with the Dean will be every Wednesday at 10 AM during the month of June. Rain or shine, we will leave from the trail behind the ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building Parking Garage. Since JD doesn't get along well with other dogs, Honors humans only on these outings please.

We are proud to feature Maribelle Albert, a dedicated student-athlete in the Honors College and Women's Gymnastics Program!

The AK URISE program has applications open for Fall 2026! This is a great program UAA's Honors College partners with, that helps students interested in research explore professional opportunities! The Honors College helps cover the tuition costs for any AK URISE program participants who sign up for the course sequence on Developing a Scholarly Identity (URS A388A / URS A388B). Congratulations to Honors student Ashton Bednar and Honors (very recent) alumna Casi
LeBlanc who competed last night in the Seawolf Debate public competition against the #1-ranked Air Force team, Fallon Eggett and Audrey Neukomm! The topic of the debate was: should Anchorage adopt a 3% sales tax? Although the audience swayed slightly for the Air Force squad, Ashton and Casi more than held their own against the cadets with 2 of the 3 celebrity judges (Jonathan Bittner - President & CEO of the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation; Joelle Hall - President of the Alaska AFL-CIO; Zac Johnson - Anchorage Assembly) voting for UAA.
