The UGSO is an international, socio-cultural student organization trying to promote awareness and understanding of the way of life and traditions of people from different parts of the world. By hosting and taking part in different activities such as talk shows, sports, cultural video screening, discussion tables, potlucks and excursions, we are able to bring students and other members of the community together to interact, communicate, teach and learn!

Good Afternoon ISO members and supporters.
I regret to inform you that we have had to cancel the international tailgate event, which was due to be held on Saturday, March 2nd at the Sullivan Arena.
Following some situations that were out of my control, it was determined that it will be impossible to hold this event. Please accept my apologies with regards to this unfortunate matter. I regret any inconvenience this may cause you, especially to those of you who already committed to taking part in this event. We appreciate all your support and hope you will continue to partner with us for future events.

with respect and gratitude,
Manal Sharife
ISO President

Good morning guys,
February 1st is World Hijab Day. It was started to raise awareness and encourage dialogue. The idea is to encourage women (Muslim and non Muslim) to wear hijab for a day in solidarity and also to experience the hijab for themselves. When we are able to walk in someone else’s shoes, our awareness and experiences are more enlightened.
Come and learn about hijab from your Muslim classmates and neighbors.
