Join us on October 25 at 9PM for our Hibernation Celebration Wildlife Fundraiser! There will be live music with The Jangle Bees and a wildlife costume contest, judged by Matanuska Brewing. Winner gets free beer for an entire year!

If concerts aren't your thing, join us at Matanuska Brewing earlier in the evening, starting at 6PM. Grab a bite to eat and sip Matanuska’s beers (or AWA’s specialty cocktails!) with AWA staff and Board. We’ll have a short presentation on AWA’s work, our silent auction, and fundraising games before the concert starts! No tickets necessary for the first portion of the evening.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).

Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis (AWAIC) is the largest domestic violence safe shelter in Alaska. AWAIC provides safe shelter and supportive services to women, men, and children affected by domestic violence. AWAIC strives to empower survivors with a full range of choices and to make their own positive life decisions, providing support and encouragement along the way.
