Defensive Training Institute ETHOS:

To advance individual skill sets to support our community of vigilant lawful citizens.

METHOD:

We accomplish this by measuring each shooter’s incremental growth. This provides an intimate knowledge of the student’s strengths and more importantly areas of need. Fundamentals are introduced, and then methodically reinforced in and out of class. We believe in creating a push-pull learning environment to assure that all measures of understanding are achieved. Every Module is designed to

build on the last and internalize each principle covered. This begins with Introduction (MOD I), then Application (MOD II) and finally Validation (MOD III). Training does not stop with the course. We provide take home drills to aid in retention of these skill sets. In addition, all are then welcomed into the Alumni. Here one can discuss techniques, equipment, etc. with other members of similar interest. We are a privately owned and operated LLC with the means to provide exactly what is needed for our clients. Phalanx Academy LLC was built on the foundation that VII Training Group so rigorously tested, and officially launched operations as a Limited Liability Company on the 5th of July, 2016.

Kodiak: Carbine MOD II
The work doesn’t stop when the fundamentals are established. Kodiak: CM-II (July) challenged students to further develop their fundamentals and continue building on the standard.

Progress comes from intentional practice, honest self-assessment and the discipline to make every repetition better than the last. Skill is developed over time and confidence comes from knowing you’ve put in the work.

Thank you to everyone who showed up ready to be challenged, accepted refinement and continued pushing toward a higher level of performance.

We had an awesome weekend of training with Frank Proctor !

The Alabaska crew has been fortunate to call Frank a friend and mentor for nearly a decade. He’s exceptionally passionate about his craft and has a unique ability to hone in on the individual needs of each shooter.

There was a ton of growth in visual processing and movement throughout the weekend, and it was incredible to see everyone putting the work in and improving.
