Honorlock is a remote proctoring system used at UAA to protect the integrity of online assessments. Instructors can use Honorlock for any online courses, as well as individual student make-up exams for In Person courses. If your department wants to use Honorlock more broadly for an In Person course, you can request an exception. Courses using Honorlock must include it in the syllabus.

Learn more about it on our Testing resources page in the Proctored Exams tab or make an appointment with an Instructional Designer to get help using this software. Anchorage-based students can check out laptops with Honorlock at the Consortium Library’s Circulation Desk and use the library’s study rooms to take tests. You will need to register to use Honorlock every semester you use it. We will send additional information when you register.

As we prepare for a new academic year, it's time to update your syllabus! UAA now requires all instructors to have an AI statement on acceptable/unacceptable uses of AI in their courses. Our Syllabus Guide has a checklist of all required elements, some sample AI statements, and more resources on what you need in your syllabus. Our syllabus templates on this page are a great way for you to incorporate all the new policies (including AI), required language, and appropriate links into your syllabus. https://www.uaa.alaska.edu/academics/office-of-academic-affairs/faculty-success/instructional-design/syllabus.cshtml
