Day two of Arctic Encounter was a great success! We heard from Governor Dunleavy, honored Sara Cohen and Pat Pitney with the Friends of the Far North award, and learned from our Artic community in breakout sessions. The night ended with an incredible Inuit Night Reception presented by Inuit Circumpolar Council Alaska. There was laughter, dancing, drumming, raffle prizes, and most importantly... muktuk!

The Northern Vision Fellowship Program gives early career professionals a seat at the table. This program gives these youth leaders unparalleled networking, mentorship, and meetings with key figures shaping the future of the Arctic.

At day 1 of Arctic Encounter Summit 2026, our fellows met with Mr. George Noll, a Senior Arctic Official at the U.S. Department of State. The conversation centered around threats in the Arctic, the challenges of navigating polarization as a civil servant, and how to implment big picuture solutions at a community level.

Tonight, the artist market will stay open until 5:30 ahead of Inut Night presented by the Inuit Circumpolar Council Alaska! Join us for an evening of Inuit culture, food, and shared experience. Inuit Night will feature a taste of Inuit traditional foods, shared alongside an Alaskan menu of appetizers and drinks. The evening will also feature remarks from Inuit leaders, cultural performances, and a chance to win door prizes, including ICC swag.
