Camera Club at UAA
The Camera Club is dedicated to promoting group fellowship among photographic artists.
In addition to monthly business meetings, members are allowed access to the UAA photographic facilities between 4 and 9 p.m. every Saturday (Fall and Spring semesters), and shows of their work are held on campus throughout the year. The club also sponsors an annual workshop given by a well-known guest photographer.
Hello everyone!
Surprise! We’re trying something new this summer.
Each Saturday, from June 18, 2022 through August 2022, the UAA photography lab will be open in the afternoon from 1PM to 6PM for Camera Club! AND the club membership dues are being waived for this time period!
Please stop by the lab if you want to work on a photo project, learn about or teach someone else a new piece of photo equipment, or just hang out and talk photography. We will be happy to see you!
Our current Camera Club President, Ryan, will be introducing a few folks to the lab around 1 PM, so if you are in need of an introduction to lab equipment and how we run our lab, please come by around then.
If you have any questions please contact Ryan through the Club email:
[email protected]
Hope to see some of you tomorrow!

Join us next Tuesday (2/15) for our Photo Tuesday Artist Talk, featuring Javid Kamali, showcasing his body of work entitled "The Last Line of Defense: a visual narrative of the pandemic by an ICU physician".
Kamali states that "the Covid-19 pandemic has created a healthcare crisis almost as invisible as the virus itself. 'The Last Line of Defense' is a collection of images that highlight some of the experiences of healthcare providers as they care for their most vulnerable patients during the Covid-19 pandemic. It offers a glimpse into a world inaccessible to the general public due to the highly infectious nature of Covid-19 and the need to protect patient confidentiality."
Please join us on the 15th at 7pm via Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86211101945?pwd=UkJyQzY5LzNYSWpKR1d1NGNFMDZ2Zz09
