Celebrating the Class of 2026! 🎓 Last night’s Baccalaureate Mass brought together our Lumen Christi seniors and the graduates of St. Benedict Parish who attend other schools including Holy Rosary Academy, South High School, East High School, King Tech, among others. We even got to acknowledge college graduates from UAA and University of Mary. It was a wonderful night of faith and fellowship for all our parish families!

Tuesday of Senior week....Practice Makes Perfect.

Today was busy as our seniors prepared for their big moment! Our two Valedictorians and our Salutatorian polished their speeches, while the entire Class of 2026 took to the stage to master the graduation walk (even nailing the all-important tradition: the ceremonial turning of the tassel from right to left!)

After the hard work was done, the group was treated to a Moose’s Tooth pizza party, generously provided by Mr. Ross. The day wrapped up with formal graduation portraits -- thank you to Mrs. Kara Moriarty for capturing those.

Please join us for Baccalaureate Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 7:00pm at St. Benedicts Parish; and Graduation on Thursday night at 7:00pm here in the Lumen Christi gym.

The countdown is officially on -- we can’t wait to see these Archangels fly! ✨

Senior Week is upon us, with all the feels!

Yesterday started out with a full circle moment as the Class of 2026 donned their caps and gowns to walk the halls where many of them began their academic journeys: Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School. For our seniors, it was a chance to visit old classrooms and thank the teachers who sparked their love of learning, for the SEAS students, it was a glimpse into their own bright futures!

Later that evening, our community took to the streets for our annual Senior Caravan and the energy was electric! For 3 hours and over 55 miles, parents, teachers, and other students formed a noisy parade, winding through neighborhoods to visit the home of every single graduate (special thanks to our Chugiak families who came in to celebrate at classmates homes!) There was no shortage of noise as we honked, cheered, and clapped our way across town to celebrate our seniors' hard work and resilience!
