With input from my Director we are going to do a month campaign for Open House with Anchorage DJ Academy 2.0 Reboot for next month. We’re doing this to reach as many people that are interested in ADA 2.0. The Open House will be a Q&A, to get questions answered. We’ll keep you all posted on the dates.

🎧 Volunteer Highlight: DJ Chris Whoo? 🎧

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Chris, our incredible volunteer DJ and DJ academy teacher at The Workshop!

Chris is not just an amazing DJ; he’s also a proud parent of a homeschool student at The Workshop who fell in love with our mission. His passion for music shines through in everything he does, whether he’s teaching students the art of DJing or creating magical dance party vibes.

We’re so grateful for Chris’s energy, talent, and generosity in sharing his craft. Thanks to him, our dance parties have been unforgettable, and we can’t wait to see what he and his DJ academy students have in store for our Spring Break Dance on March 7th! 🪩🎶

We’re excited to announce the launch of our GoFundMe and donation page on November 25, 2024! This campaign is designed to help us secure the resources needed to launch the Anchorage DJ Academy. Funds raised will go toward space rental and essential equipment like iPads, DDJ-400 DJ controllers, speaker monitors, TV monitors, headphones, and software.

Our goal is to raise $5,000, and as a nonprofit, we’re reaching out to the community and supporters to bring this dream to life. As the founder and instructor, I will not take any payment—our focus is entirely on the students.

The academy will serve kids aged 8-13, providing hands-on access to professional DJ equipment and the chance to learn different setups. This is more than just a music program; it’s about empowering the next generation of DJs and producers.

The campaign will run until January 20, 2025, and we’re hopeful that the community will see our vision and join us in building a brighter future through music.

🎧 Help Us Equip Anchorage’s Next Generation of DJs! 🎧

We’re gearing up for the Anchorage DJ Academy launch in January 2025, and we need your help to make it happen! Our mission is to teach kids and teens (ages 8-14) the art of DJing, giving them skills in music, creativity, and confidence. But we can’t do it without the right equipment!

We’re seeking donations of entry- or mid-level DJ controllers, iPads, laptops (used but in good condition), speakers/monitors, and headphones to bring this dream to life.
