Winterberry Charter School, a Waldorf-inspired public charter school serving grades K–8 in Anchorage, is seeking thoughtful and dedicated educators to join our community.

We are currently hiring for the following positions:
• Kindergarten Teacher
• Classroom Teacher (Grades)
• Handwork Teacher

Join us for a day of WALDORF-inspired FAMILY FUN!
Celebrate the magic of winter at Winterberry Charter School, jump rope making, homemade cafe, games, bake sale, kid crafts, magical fairy realm, scavenger hunt, ice castle, tasty treats and winter fun.
Pay at the door, per activity, starting at $1.
Winterberry Charter School offers K-8, Waldorf-inspired, alternative education through ASD.
(Children must be supervised by an attending adult.

All ASD schools and support facilities are closed today, Thursday, January 29th, due to freezing rain and hazardous road conditions. Only emergency staff should report for duty, including all facilities and maintenance staff. Unless otherwise announced, schools will reopen tomorrow. A decision about after school activities and Community Rental facilities will be made by noon.

Today at Winterberry, students in grades one and two welcomed a special guest speaker, Winterberry parent Ms. Dora Allen. She shared her love for her Mexican heritage, her home of Oaxaca, and the great monarch butterfly migration. They got to imagine the journey of a butterfly home to Mexico, with images, crafts, movement and songs. ¡Gracias, Señora Dora! 🦋
