Fullerton College and I plan to major Criminal Justice

My name is Marissa Valdivia! My plans after I graduate is to attend Fullerton College for 2 years, I plan to figure out what I really wanna do with my future there because I was interested in majoring in criminal justice, music, or cinema but I did end up choosing criminal justice but I will be taking a few music courses! Then I plan to transfer to a 4 year college and do the major I definitely want to do there. My favorite memory in band would probably be the times during parade season because during that time I met a lot of new friends I’m very close to now. My words of advice for current members in band is try to learn new instruments instead of sticking to one! I enjoy learning new instruments and I think every instrument is very fun to learn. Overall, I have a lot of fun memories and I met a lot of great people I’m so grateful for now through band.

Santa Ana College to earn an associate degree and study legal work

Hi, my name is Galilea Torres. One thing I really enjoy about band is everything it has taught me, including teamwork, discipline, and confidence. I think one of my favorite memories from band was after our last field competition during my sophomore year. I was recording Kat and me talking about our experience, and Steven almost sat on Kat, which made all of us laugh. I’m very grateful for all the friendships I’ve made, the discipline band has taught me, and how much I’ve grown throughout the program. I’m also very thankful for both of our band directors, Mr. Dominguez and Mr. Melgoza, for everything they’ver done for us.One piece of advice I would give to future band members is to not be afraid to talk to people. Band becomes so much more enjoyable when you make connections and put yourself out there.

Javier Nino

- a kind and humble friend and a clarinetist. You will be missed!

I will be majoring in music production at Fullerton College.

Hello, my name is Javier Nino, and I’ve been in the Loara Band program for all four years. My future goal is to become a great DJ, in order to achieve that, I will work hard and keep dreaming. My favorite Loara Band memory is when everyone, including me, shouted ‘6-7’ at every field rehearsal. I joined the band because I wanted to learn more about music and meet new people. Some advice I can give is that if you love something and are passionate about it, don’t let anyone get in the way of your future. If you want to achieve something great, you have to work for it. DREAM IT UNTIL YOU BELIEVE IT.

santa ana college and my major is child development

Heyy, I’m Jocelyn and after graduation I plan on going to Santa Ana College for Child Development! Band became a huge part of my high school experience and helped me become more outgoing and confident over the years. I’ve learned a lot about teamwork, commitment, and making the best out of stressful moments. I’m grateful for all the laughs, football games, competitions, and the people I got to meet through this program. A piece of advice I’d give is to make memories with your section and enjoy the experience while it lasts because high school goes by faster than you think 🥲💕
