🍊Great news! 🍊Orange Unified was named a 2025 California Honor Roll Star District by Educational Results Partnership. 🌟

The California Honor Roll, as part of ERP's Campaign for Business and Education Excellence, recognizes top-performing schools and districts that are successfully preparing students for college, career, and life. The Honor Roll uses only objective student achievement data from the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) to identify schools that demonstrate
academic excellence and improvement across all student groups, including historically underserved populations.

Additionally, 16 OUSD schools were recognized as California Honor Roll Schools in either the “Star” (those serving a high percentage of socioeconomically disadvantaged student populations) or “Scholar” (those serving student populations with fewer than 33% designated as socioeconomically disadvantaged) categories.

The 5th and 6th graders, parents, and community members heard great PTA-organized presentations last week about navigating the digital world. If you missed it, you can enroll in this free online course led by Ed Peisner and his team at the Organization for Social Media Safety. The course walks parents through how to keep their children safe on social media, including the conversations to have, the rules to set, and how to adjust device and app settings for safety.

Buckling the Social Media Seatbelt SuperCourse Learn the steps you need to take to keep your tween or teen safe on social media. A comprehensive course for parents from the Organization for Social Media Safety to learn how to protect against dangers like cyberbullying, sexting, hate speech. social media addiction, and human trafficking.
