May have been the happiest place on Earth, but the most magical part of our summer programming was seeing the dedication and commitment of our scholars as they tackled a 6-week college course and invested into their futures. 📚 Disneyland’s leadership workshop was the perfect enrichment activity to end our field trips off with and prepare for residential week! 🎉

We didn’t take many pictures as we were present in every moment of our annual NCCEP conference. Our team is grateful for another amazing year attending the conference and getting together with the GEAR UP community across the nation. Attending NCCEP always reminds us of how important and impactful the work that we put in daily is. This conference in particular reminded us that there is light in every one of us and every one of our students. Together, the possibilities are endless, and our team is ready to tackle it all with our scholars.

What a fun day with the CSUDH FabLab yesterday. A few of our 9th graders were able to 3D print, fly drones, and learn a bit about coding. 😎 They also took their learning beyond the session as they took a GIST career quiz which had them think about potential career options in the future. ⭐️✨

We had an incredible time exploring the 2026 Black College Expo! From chats with university reps to diving into scholarship information, the energy was all about unlocking opportunities.

What a week of growth! Huge shoutout to for joining us a couple of weeks ago to spark some magic. From deep-dive PD sessions with our amazing staff and district partners to high-energy assemblies with our 9th and 10th graders, the vibes were unmatched! 🥳 Students were reminded that they are in control of their journeys and are capable of a magnitude of success! So proud of our GEAR UP scholars. 🤩

“Discover DH” was a success! 🤩 Our GEAR UP scholars scoped out the campus, got a peek into the campus housing, and received a full resource rundown at CSUDH. What an amazing Saturday spent with the lively Toro community! 🐂❤️💛
