American Heart Association Training Site West Coast Emergency Medical Training was established in 2010.

Our courses follow the new National EMS Education Standards based on the National EMS Scope of Practice. The West Coast EMT staff are experienced and dedicated to ensure each student is successful in the program. Our instructors are currently working in the field with a local fire department or ambulance company to keep their treatment protocols and skills up to date. Most of our staff has attende

d the National Association of EMS Educators ( NAMESE ) instructor course. This nationally recognized course provides the most up to date instructor information available. Our EMT training program takes a “Hands on Approach” to learning. Students will learn through real life scenarios, videos, powerpoints, lectures, and manipulative skills demonstrations. Our goal is to ensure each student is ready to enter the workforce as a competent EMT.
