This is the real goal. Softball is a means to an end:

Set your player up with the best chance at a successful and happy future.

The alternative:
She leaves a little traumatized; lost; unbalanced; confused. She graduates less of who she is meant to be instead of more.

The answer to get here isn’t to hand all of the answers to her— it’s to put her in environments where she’s pushed to grow, pushed to answer hard questions, pushed to prepare instead of be comfortable as she is.

The Roadmap is the perfect spot for that.

Every new team is an opportunity to see how you best contribute.

Team comes first AND each player has a personality, a way they like to prepare and lock in. If you find yourself in a team that doesn’t match your own vibe:

1. I don’t believe this excuses you from being part of the team— your role might just be different. Maybe you’re not the one leading team bonding, meetings in the circle. It’s your responsibility to see how your strengths fit. Not the other way around.

2. What a great lesson for what you will look for in college. If there’s a certain culture you know you thrive in— seek that out when you’re looking for your next team!

The gap is small in the beginning.

Players show up to the same workouts and take a couple of reps off.

Then those same players mentally check out of whole rotations while the ones that hold themself to a higher standard are getting double the reps with 100% more focus and discipline.

That shows up in games:
- in how their teammates see them
- in what they are able to give when the pressure is on
- in what they see for their future

The player that doesn’t move with intent isn’t thinking about the future. She is just getting by the workout.

The player that hustles when no one is watching has a higher goal. It’s inside of her. It pushes her even when it would be easier to sink to the level of some around her.

A lot of players say their goal is college softball.
It’s difficult to be the driven players when you haven’t been shown what she looks like.

What really matters and what doesn’t to get you to the next level.

“What actually happens at The Roadmap Weekend?”

Softball training, mindset work, leadership opportunities, and conversations to help players identify the next steps.

Friday
On-field mentality with at-bat approaches, competitive mindset resets, how to recover mentally from an injury and college prep mentality with public speaking practice and overviews of what it’s like to really be there.

Saturday
High school skills in the morning and those players will help to lead the bigger clinic that night (the 3 hour event split up by ages 8-10 and 11-13 years old).

Sunday
VIP recovery day plus Rule 42 extra evaluations and interview advice from a true pro.

An experience like this has the ability to change a player from shy, unsure, and wanting a goal into a young woman determined to show up as fully herself, armed with a plan and her vision.
