Yesterday, Orange Grove summer program students spent the day learning outside the classroom at the Magnolia Agriscience Community Center (MACC) Farm at Magnolia High School.

Through hands-on learning stations, students explored composting, healthy eggs, vermiculture, healthy eating, water filtration, and common farm critters. Led by Magnolia High School students and staff, they discovered how sustainable agriculture connects to healthy living and caring for our environment.

Thank you to the Magnolia MACC Farm team for providing such a fun and meaningful learning experience. It was a day full of curiosity, discovery and smiles.

We are proud to celebrate our AESD students who were recognized at the City of Anaheim’s Flag Day Celebration!

The Flag Day Essay Contest returned this year for the first time since before the pandemic, and AESD students earned 12 awards across four schools, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place honors. Our students also proudly represented AESD by marching in the Flag Day Parade.

Congratulations to all of our student writers for their thoughtful essays and for representing our district so well. A special thank you to our Arts Specialist, Ms. Laura Houston, for supporting our students and helping make their participation in this meaningful event possible. 🇺🇸✍️

We're excited to share a Telemundo 52 news segment highlighting AESD's recent Books & Cookies event at Madison Elementary! As one of Southern California's leading Spanish language television stations, Telemundo 52 helped shine a spotlight on this special literacy celebration for our preschool and TK students.

The story showcases how students kicked off summer reading with books, family engagement activities, and plenty of excitement for learning. It also highlights our commitment to literacy and the incredible efforts of our educators who are helping build strong readers across AESD.

Thank you to Telemundo 52 for helping share how we're inspiring a love of reading, one book at a time. 📚❤️

Loara School brought the fun and the heart with a Team Kids carnival yesterday! Students enjoyed games and activities while raising funds for Mariposa, a nonprofit making a difference in the community.

More than just a carnival, the event gave students the chance to step into leadership roles, work as a team, and experience the power of giving back. Through Team Kids, students are learning that even small acts can create a big impact.
