This post was written 1 year ago today at the height of the pandemic and distance learning. I am in awe of what we walked through as parents, especially moms. Although some things have gone back to a “semi-normal”’routine, many things have changed. I would love to hear any fresh thoughts and perspectives.
October 13, 2020: As I reflect on my day, I am reminded of all of the crazy things that we are going through. Trying to work full time while being the local IT department managing dropped Zoom calls, wireless internet getting lost, remembering that a camera and microphone is always watching and listening, hours of homework, tears and frustration. We are worn out. We are fried trying to manage it all. One thing that we all as mamas seem to share right now is our need for one another. We need each other because these days are hard. We have to become perfectly okay with the imperfect. So tonight as we wrap up our night, I just want to remind everyone who is struggling with distance learning and balancing it all...you are not alone. We will get through this and I pray we will find the good in all of it. ❤️
