This gathering of 1966 Colonist graduates will be held on Oct. 17, 2026. Also, the AHS Alumni car show will be held the same day on the AHS campus

Kinda Good News and VERY BAD News. Squire "Mac" Burke paid for 2 attendees, but is now coming solo. So we have another $100 for a worthy Colonist to attend on behalf of Mac's generosity. The BAD news is, we've lost another fellow 66er. Rudy Olvera informed me that our Washington elementary school, Fremont Jr High and AHS friend passed away yesterday. His name was Richard "Richey" Perez. He lived on Olive street and we played ball for countless hours at Washington elementary. Whether it was football, basketball or over-the-line baseball he was most always there. Little brother Gilbert, or Gibby as we new him, was also in the game. RIP Amigo

Getting closer to our goal of 75 attendees. Currently at 67 w/$5900 paid. New attendees are Larry Brooks coming from Florida and Tom and wife Penny Weismuller. Judy and I are meeting with the hotel people on 9/16 to discuss our food menu. We have moved on from a Taco Bell sack lunch. We have decided to extend our deadline of 9/1, $100 fee until 9/11/26. I'm still waiting on a name for the Russ Sharples donation to a needy Colonist. Call me at 714-815-8092 so this can be handled confidentially.

WAIT, WHAT Major announcement!! Got a verbal YES from Leroy and Carol Hernandez and their check is in the mail. Rudy Olvera is a yes and check is in the mail. Larry Stone is paid for 2. We now sit at 64 yes's with $550 received. Nice job fellow Colonist in reaching out to your contacts. Remember $100 fee is only good til 9/4. After that it's $125

Good news we received 3 more yes's which gets us to 60 with $5100 received. REMINDER, Sept 4 is the cut off date for $100 to attend. After that it goes to $125 to attend. Judy and I will meet with the Embassy Suites folks on 9/14 to give them final food order. Sooooo it's very important for you who have NOT paid yet to get your check into Judy ASAP. We don't want to have a Taco Bell sack lunch for dinner that night. Just kidding.

Happy Saturday to all AHS 66er's. We currently have 55 yes's with $4600 received. So I need those who have NOT paid to PLEASE send in your money to Judy ASAP. The follow people have indicated that they will attend but haven't sent their money yet.
