A special message from our very own Jason Ortiz, CVA FACES:
“As I get ready to leave Cambridge Virtual Academy on February 13, I have been reflecting on the last few years and just how much this community has meant to me.
Since November 2022, being part of CVA and Anaheim Union has been a dream come true. I have watched this program grow from its early days into one of the top online high schools in the nation, and I feel so lucky to have been part of that journey. I have had opportunities I could only dream of, coaching esports, helping with photography and marketing, networking across the district, and representing CVA in ways that challenged me and helped me grow.
What I will miss the most are the everyday moments, families checking in to say hi, sharing jokes, stepping into new opportunities, and seeing them grow academically and personally. Those moments made every day meaningful.
To our parents and guardians, thank you. Your support, leadership, and trust have been essential. A special thank you to our parent leaders, your time, energy, and willingness to build community and inspire others never went unnoticed. You set an example for everyone in the program.
And to CVA’s staff and teachers, the best. I mean it. Your dedication, care, and passion for students have inspired me every day, and it has been an honor to work alongside you.
I thank God for allowing me to be part of such an amazing community at CVA and our community partners. Thank you for being there for me too, through the good times and the difficult ones. This community supported me more than I can express. As my family and I step into a new chapter full of changes, I leave with my head held high, proud of the work I have done and the connections I have made.
I hope to stay connected. A building does not define a community, the people do. CVA will always be my people. I also hope that our families keep hope and faith strong and continue to grow together.
Forever grateful.”
