SBU애너하임 학생회, “자운고 500개 암 환자에게 기부” 행사 개최

사우스베일로대학교 애너하임 캠퍼스의 한국학생회(SBU KSAA, 회장 김연희)가 지난 14일 본교 캠퍼스에서 지원자들을 대상으로 자운고를 만들어 암환자에게 무료 기부하는 행사를 개최했다.

이날 행사에서는 학생회 및 지원자 50여명이 모여 자운고 500개를 만들어 암환자들에게 무료로 기부하기 위해 기획됐다. 이날 자운고를 만드는 재료는 한의서플라이 아큐디포가 후원했으며 자운고에 대한 설명 및 만드는 법 지도는 김성례 한의사(라파힐링 아큐펑처)가 맡았다.

김연희 회장은 “이번 행사는 암환자들에게 한의치료의 우수성을 알리는 좋은 기회가 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다. 그는 이어 “이번행사는 학교내 모두 3개 언어반 학생을 대상으로 사전 등록자를 대상으로 기획했다”며 “원래 등록한 사람보다 더 많은 학생이 참석하는 등 뜨거운 반응에 놀랐다”고 설명했다.

이날 만들어진 500여개의 자운고는 현재 캔서킨십(Cancer Kinship)에서 지원하고 있는 암환자들에게 전달될 예정이다. 캔서킨십은 두려움 없이 암을 극복할 수 있는 공동체를 만들어, 모든 사람의 삶의 질을 개선하고 장기 생존율을 높이는 것을 목표로 하는 단체다.

일반적으로 항암치료의 부작용으로 구역감과 어지러움, 피로감 등이 잘 알려져 있다. 하지만 이날 행사에 참석한 요리 오리젤 수석사무장(Yoli Orgel)은 “나 역시도 암환자였고 화학치료 등 항암치료를 받은 바 있다”라며 “생각보다 많은 암환자들이 피부건조증, 발진, 발적, 손발의 피부 염증으로 피부가 벗겨지는 증상”등 다양한 피부과 관련 질환으로 고통받고 있다”고 설명했다.

그는 이어 “이번 행사로 더 많은 환자들에게 한의에 대한 장점 등을 설명할 계획이다”라 덧붙였다.

한편, 이날 행사에 제이슨 신 총장이 참석 학생들을 격려하기도 했다.

KSAA is hosting another great workshop on making Purple Cloud Ointment.

Everyone interested in learning how to create it is welcome to join. Although the workshop will be held in Korean, we will have an English interpreter to help out :)

The items made during the workshop will be donated to a local cancer center, offering a great opportunity to learn and give back to our community.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, menstrual disorders are often caused by qi stagnation, blood stasis, qi deficiency and blood deficiency. The above conditions will cause scanty menstruation, profuse menstruation, early menstruation, and late menstruation. In this lecture, Master Dong’s acupuncture as well as traditional Chinese herbal medicine will be discussed. Master Dong’s acupoints such as Fu-Ke is used to regulate menstruation. Traditional herbal formulae such as Bu-Zhong-Yi-Qi tang and Qing-Jing-San are used to regulate menstruation.

[학생회 리마인더: 침향공진단 실습교실]

재료와 비율만 알면 누구나 만들 수 있는 공진단이지만 재료선택과 법제방법 그리고 정성에 따라 효과는 천차만별이지요.

이번주 토요일(5/25/2024) 애나하임 캠퍼스에서는 동의보감 3대 명약 중 하나인 공진단 실습교실이 있습니다.

저번학기에는 예쁘고 보기좋게 금박입히는 방법을 중심으로 연습해 봤다면, 이번 학기에는 법제과정에 대해 좀 더 세심하게 배워보실텐데요,

술에찌고 말리기를 9번 반복하여 구증구포한다는 '산수유',
주침, 즉, 약재에 술이 잘 배어 들도록 담가 재우는 '당귀',
우유나 양유등을 발라 굽는 수구작업을 거쳐야한다는 '녹용',
그리고, 침향이 어떻게 생겼는지도 직접 보실 수 있는 귀한 자리가 될 수 있을 것 입니다.

법제과정, 반죽에 이어 금박씌우는 법까지 차근차근 배워보시기 원하시는 학우님들은 이번 토요일 학생회에서 준비한 공진단 실습특강의 좋은 기회를 놓치지 마시고 꼭 오셔서 여러분들의 풍성한 지식과 학업성취도를 한단계 높여보실 수 있는 유익한 시간 보내보시기를 바랍니다.
