In our program, your child will find endless opportunities for creative expression, insightful discussion, and true peer and mentor support.

Peaceful Warriors is a program geared towards pre-teens and teens, to help instill the fundamental principles of positive thinking, healthy communication, self-awareness, and emotional stability. All students will come to know themselves on a deeper level, make stronger, wiser decisions based on personal instinct, and choose healthy relationships. Peaceful Warriors is a progressive social-emotiona

l learning initiative that can help address many of the challenges faced by today's youth:

Bullying
Peer Pressure
Prejudice
Social skills
Self-confidence
Challenges with anger or depression
Many more

The Peaceful Warriors program engages students in a broad array of creative activities, expression-based exercises, and guided discussions that help build understanding and skills in the areas of positive psychology, social-emotional awareness, and healthy, effective communication. Sessions cover a range of topics including, but not limited to:

Self-confidence and self-acceptance
Conflict resolution
How to deal with difficult situations
How to express peacefully and be heard
Compassion for the self, and for others
Following inner guidance instead of peer suggestion
How to embrace challenge and grow from it
Basics of meditation for calmness and focus
Moving past pain and focusing on the positive
Having, keeping, and achieving immediate and life goals
Feeling connected to others
Dealing with bullying or other prejudice
Understanding and communicating one's own needs and feelings
Empathy and forgiveness
Inner strength and peace, leading to healthier life choices

We are so excited to be accepting a new class of Peaceful Warriors this Spring, and hope you will join us for this amazing journey of learning and growth. Through creative exercises, role plays, discussion, music, art, and writing, students will learn to explore and express their emotions in positive, productive ways, as well as how to handle difficult situations in life with courage and healthy perspective. They will develop a strong inner core that will aid them in decision-making and effective communication. The program also strongly encourages a sense of comraderie among students, and shows them what it means to support, and be supported by, their peers and all others.

Our new program, In Focus, integrates foundations of yoga, martial arts, meditation and personal empowerment to help youth and teens find confidence, inner peace, personal strength, and new ways of communication! Classes take place in Anacortes, Washington, and will soon find a new home at Edison Elementary! Also be on the lookout for our new art journaling classes there. Contact us for more information!

Hello everyone, and happy 2015! It has been a while since the last post, but we are back, now in the beautiful Anacortes, Washington. We are currently developing a new set of unique mind-body awareness programs for youth and teens, as well as consciousness coaching for parents and pregnant women. Coming up in June, Scott and I are hosting a Solstice Retreat in Hawaii for the adults to get some healing time of their own! :)

Peaceful Warriors would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote every day for us--it is really appreciated! We reached a total of 280 votes in 10 days. While there are many with more votes, the good news is that businesses do not have to earn the most votes in order to be considered for a grant. One winner per day will be announced through May 24th--please keep your fingers crossed for us!!
