SPRING UPDATE
We have been enjoying the sunshine, it would appear spring has sprung! Here's some fun activities and updates!
ELECTIVES
At ACS, we strive to help students discover how God has gifted them and what He has made them curious about. One of the ways we see this played out is through exposing kids to a wide variety of electives! These last few months we did Science (oobleck!), Umpiring, and Engineering Principles!
VISIT FROM MAYOR RYAN
Our students have been learning about leadership in Social Studies so we had Mayor Ryan Walters come out to teach us about what it looks like to lead our town!
DIORAMA PROJECT
As part of science, students chose an animal and made a diorama and presentation all about it and its habitat!

Dear ACS supporters,
Hope everyone is getting adjusted to the fall weather! October was a stormy but wonderfully memorable month. Here's some fun highlights:
HIGHLIGHTS
- Students finished their construction elective and began their Car Maintenance elective with Mr. Mark! Students have learned how to check their oil, verify their fluid levels, change a tire, and wash the car!
- We had an All-School field trip to Schuh Farms where we had both the Preschool AND the Elementary School on the same trip! Students got to feed chickens and goats, take a hayride, pick out a pumpkin, and learn about the pumpkin growth cycle!
- We had the wonderful Anacortes Fire Department come out to give us a presentation and to show off the fire engine. Safe to say the students were very excited!
- The students are making great progress in their academics, it is so encouraging to see these future leaders growing and learning!
UPCOMING EVENT
We have our big fundraiser coming up, the Anacortes Turkey Trot! This is a 5k fun run on Thanksgiving morning on the beautiful Tommy Thompson trail right here in Anacortes. Please encourage friends and family to sign up!

End of School Year Update
Hello ACS supporters! Thank you all for another amazing year here at ACS! The last few weeks of school in June were awesome.
- We had an action-packed field day! Students participated in games, relay races, and team-work activities at Storvik Park. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast!
- We had a fun Luau themed end-of-year party! The sliders and Hawaiian meatballs were a big hit.
But best of all, we took about an hour afterwards to highlight ways that we have seen God's gifts in our students. It is our mission to ensure that student's leave our program with a strong confidence in who God has made them to be and what wonderful and unique purpose He has designed for them. It was so touching to watch each student be visibly impacted by the words the teachers shared. Every kid left beaming!
We are looking forward to another year and appreciate your ongoing prayer and support!
