This Saturday we will have extended opening hours from 11-3 with our Guemes themed gifts for sale: wooden bookmarks by Mitercraft, “I’m with the banned” tote bags, Guemes Island aprons, t-shirts, caps and beanies, and notecards by Cathy Schoenberg and other local artists.
All purchases support our volunteer-run, donation-funded community library.
Also available during our regular Library hours Thurs—Monday 12:30-3:00

“In 1998, the ferry didn’t run after 6:30 p.m. on weeknights, Pellett said. This meant that students who went to school in Anacortes had minimal time to study after school before catching the boat back to Guemes Island.
This inspired Pellett to start the Guemes Island Library, giving students a place to study on the island.”

Thank you Guemes Islanders!
Thanks to your amazing generosity our mini Shipwreck storage is bursting at the seams.
We’ve had to pause taking donations at the library for now (we literally can’t fit another thing!), but we’ll happily accept any last-minute donations on sale day - July 5th at the hall/library.
THANK YOU. This is going to be an amazing sale because of all of you ❤️
We will be at the library collecting items until 5pm today (Weds) for our Mini shipwreck sale. No clothing or furniture please. Thank you for your donations!
