A big shout-out to the Get a Head Start with the Smithsonian crew! We loved welcoming you to Anaconda–Deer Lodge County Head Start.
Thank you to Pinky, Rachel, Emily, Julia, Eden, Stefanie, and the film crew for the time, creativity, and care you brought to our children and staff. The transportation theme had our children exploring, imagining, and talking about all the ways people get from place to place. The amazing sensory totes gave them even more ways to learn through play.
We also appreciated the professional development you shared with our team. What a special opportunity for our program and our community! We enjoyed every part of your visit and look forward to seeing you again. 💙

Teacher Appreciation!

Today we’re celebrating McKenzie! She brings so much creativity, kindness, and cheerfulness to the infant room. She is always willing to help and brings such a positive energy to everything she does.

Having her own daughter in our program makes her connection to Head Start even more special. We are so thankful to have McKenzie on our team and appreciate all she does for our littlest learners! 🩷✏️

Today we’re celebrating Coda! She is such a kind, patient, and caring teacher who is always willing to help whenever she can. Her patience and gentle nature make such a difference in the classroom, and the love she has for the children truly shows.

As a mom of two daughters, she brings so much heart and understanding to the children she works with. We are so thankful to have Coda on our team and appreciate everything she does! ❤️✏️

Teacher Appreciation!

We want to give a big shoutout to Shayna! She is such a talented teacher and has an amazing way of creating genuine connections with the children she teaches. You can truly see how much love and dedication she puts into what she does every day.

Between being a teacher, a mom, and going to school, she gives so much of herself to the children and families she serves. We are so lucky to have her on our team!

And of course, we are so proud of our Head Start Hero, Shayna! ❤️✏️
