A quick safety reminder for our parent pickup line:

Louisiana law prohibits handheld cell phone use while driving. Please put your phone down as you travel through the school zone and pickup line.

Students and families are arriving at the Head Start building during morning drop-off. Please slow down, remain alert, and drive carefully near this area.

This week, students may wear a hat and sunshades for a $1 donation each day. The daily $1 covers both the hat and sunshades. It is not $1 per item.

All proceeds will support Kinzley and her family during this difficult time. Thank you for helping us show them how much our AES family cares.

As we begin a new week, we expect afternoon pickup to move more efficiently as students and staff become more familiar with the routine.

A staff member will walk the car line and call student names. Please follow these reminders to help keep the line moving:

• Place your name tag in the window where staff members will clearly see it. Our callers rotate, so please do not assume they know which student you are picking up.

• Do not drive past the staff member until they have seen your tag and called your student’s name.

• If your child needs help fastening a seat belt, please pull beyond the front of the line after your child enters the vehicle. For liability reasons, staff members cannot fasten seat belts.
