If your 6th or 7th grader still needs a vaccination, tomorrow is the last clinic before school starts.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to ensure every student is healthy, safe, and ready to learn on day one!
Under New York State law, all students must be fully vaccinated according to their age and grade level to attend school. Because required doses and booster schedules change as children grow, we encourage you to review your child’s immunization records with their healthcare provider as soon as possible.
New York State Law Compliance Notice
Please note that these immunization mandates are established directly by New York State Public Health Law (§ 2164) and the New York State Department of Health, not individual school district policies.
Mandatory Exclusion: Under state law, school districts are legally prohibited from permitting students to attend class or participate in school activities if they do not meet state immunization requirements within 14 days of the start of school (September 21st).
No Non-Medical Exemptions: New York State law does not allow for religious or non-medical exemptions. Only valid medical exemptions certified by a licensed physician are permitted by state regulation.
GASD School District Obligation: Our district must enforce these state regulations strictly for all enrolled students to maintain our state operating license and protect public health.
Overview of Middle School Grade-Level Requirements for 2026-2027 School Year:
If your child is entering 6th-grade, they will need the following vaccinations to attend:
