SMI is busy getting our Halloween float ready for the Amsterdam Halloween Parade! Our students and families have been working hard!

A huge THANK YOU to the Amsterdam Fire Department for visiting St. Mary’s Institute and teaching our students important fire safety lessons!

Our students loved the informative assembly, but the highlight was heading outside to get an up-close look at the fire truck! 🚒

We are so grateful to our local firefighters for taking the time to educate our students, answer their questions, and show them what it means to be everyday heroes!

SMI School Spirit in action!

A big shout-out to a few of our amazing middle school teachers who went to support our SMI girls playing modified volleyball for the Amsterdam Rams last night!

It means so much to our students to see their teachers cheering them on outside the classroom. Thank you for showing our girls that their SMI family is behind them both on and off the court!

Halloween Float Crew – Time Change for Today

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick update for the Halloween Float Crew!

Today only, our meeting time has been changed to 4:30 PM. Next week, we will return to our original meeting time of 3:30 PM.

We will be doing the actual construction of the float today, so we really need all available adults to help.

If you are available to come at 4:30 PM today, the float is being built in the driveway between the two buildings.

Thank you for helping us get this float together! We appreciate everyone’s time and effort!
