We are pleased to announce that Mr. Tim Dickerson has been named principal of Hamilton Attendance Center for the 2026–2027 school year.

Mr. Dickerson brings a wealth of experience in education and is well known throughout Monroe County. His career includes:

Teacher and coach at Hatley High School (1998–2006)
Principal of the Advanced Learning Center (2006–2011)
Principal of Hamilton Attendance Center (2011–2018)
Principal and Superintendent of the Nettleton School District (2018–2023)

Mr. Dickerson's extensive leadership experience, attention to detail, commitment to student success, and passion for educational excellence make him an outstanding choice to lead Hamilton Attendance Center. We are excited to welcome him back to Hamilton and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our students, staff, and community.

Please join me in welcoming Mr. Dickerson back to Hamilton and wishing him continued success in this new role.

Thank you to Serv Pro for providing the Hamilton faculty with a “fish fry” today. We had a water fountain malfunction. They got us cleaned up and came back to provide a nice lunch.

Congratulations to Mr Kevin Threadgill on being named the new Superintendent for Monroe County. Mr. Threadgill will assume his duties July 1st.

Mr. Loyd Pearson has spent countless hours researching the history of the Town of Hatley and Hatley School. He has produced a 39 page booklet that traces the history of the Town of Hatley and Hatley school from the late 1800 through 2026. It is a fascinating document. Contact Mr. Loyd Pearson at 662-305-5312 to obtain a copy. Thank you Mr. Loyd Pearson for highlighting and working to preserve a portion of Monroe County’s history.

Congratulations to Christy Little. She has been named Vice President of the AABC. Along with many other responsibilities, Mrs. Little is the Board Clerk for Monroe County Schools and performs her job with excellent professionalism. Congratulations Mrs. Little on this accomplishment.
